i hav a galaxy r and it is the best....its much better then lg optimus 2x ,......double ram.. larger screen....lighter...thinner...android 2.3,,,,better battery life...touchwiz is awesome....way better than 2x.

I just bought an lg optimus 2x, upgraded it to 2.3(it came with 2.2) and i m quite happy....it works like a charm, and now i heard it will get Ics upgrade...so i m good! i think i made the right choice

is Galaxy R still available in india ???? bcoz when i visit samsung dealer show room then they told me that galaxy r is discontinue from samsung ??? i m from rajasthan..

LG atlast earned something in this quarter. So LG should release ICS for optimus series as soon as possible in order to win hearts of its loyal customers. otherwise LG knows its brand value very well

Here in singapore Galaxy R retails for $248 with $39/month contract(cheapest 12gb dataplan)
while optimus 2x is only $48 with the same contract.
Rocking my optimus 2x with MIUI :)

Wrong way of comparing photo capabilities in this test - if you know anything about digital photography you know that upscale of ANY 5 mpix photo to 8 mpix photo by any software will reduce quality and also errors can by introduced by software so that will be unfair comparation with native 8 mpix photo. Just chose on 8 mpix phone lover res setting when shooting (5 mpix) and compare those photos. Even other way around - down scale 8 mpix photo to 5 mpix and than compare is more fair...

samsung galaxy r has 8 gb internal memory game hub where you find premium games if your cell is lost samsung galaxy r can be located with mobile tracker and even you can wipe the data in the phone it has usb on the go wifi direct certifed andit cost around 20000 thosand rupees in india not 25000 thousand.samsung app store has some good apps and games.ics is the only worry.

Took galaxy r 10 days before.... quite happy with it for 21000/- rupee price tag in India.... Optimus 2X is not available in many places... and even 1GB ram really matters for noobs..... not techies.......
I am luving my SGR..... Cool.....
And Galaxy R might not be available after few days... heard that Samsung has stopped its manufacturing..... Not sure though.....

Check ebay.op black is 18.5k.

In Serbia, it's not so big difference in price between this two phones - LG 330 euros vs Samsung 370 euros. For me one of the main specs when i'm buying phone is camera, so, by my opinion winner is Optimus 2X. And yeah, thank you GSMArena for comparing these two phones, this was very helpfull!

actually i was considering the galaxy r, but the optimus 2x is cheaper and there are some great custom rom for the phone that you can find online

Optimus 2X is now available for 18900Indian rupeese but Samsung Galaxy R is more than 25000 rupeese..Is this not a big difference?
