We've come to a point where the performance is really really good so for me it's choosing between the looks and the feeling.

S2 is a year old in a time where today's flagships are next year's mid-range devices. the S2 in that case manages to compete with Sony's flagship which really is a joke. sorry to say that but it feels like many of the Xperia S fans are attracted by the phone's design rather than what the phone has to offer in terms of specs.

Man this is crazy you compare xperia with a phone which is a year older than it. SII has its own prestige it ruled smarphones for 1 complete year. It setted standards what should a smartphone be like. It prompted other manufacturers to release phones like SII and xperia is one of them that too very late.
I aint bullshittin history has it...

This is wrong, galaxy s II front camera does indeed record video at 640*480 resolution though.
Im on stock rom and just recorded one.

One more thing, I am a music lover and need good audio on my phone. Do you think that beats integration has much better offering in the music dept? Also, I think that the included headphones in HTC are better and nearly retail for 100 US$.
What about the adreno 220? Is it behind the Tegra 3 chipset in a huge way? I mean would my going for a dual core put me behind the best hardware considering that now quad cores are there. Thanks again.

U can call apple whatever name u want but Apple always good in competing alone vs all others , and also Apple eco-system is somewhat unique and classy compared to our eco-system (windows).
They do right thing at right time , Good with performance of devices and also very excellent product support and user experience.
Yes galaxy has good hardware but unfortunately galaxy series is biggest fragmented sector of android where users cant get updates unless they wait 6-8 months and sometimes only value packs.Even though galaxy series have different screen sizes they pack same boring Touchwiz.
Coming to Sony , Same story , wait 4-6 months and almost entire line up gets updated unlike galaxy series and also excellent support for media integration with docks , accessories and Integration with Sony products.

Some people really does not understand tech. How can u compare a year old device to a new device? When s2 came a year ago sony had some phones to challenge it that time but none of the was comparable. Sony had to work another year to compete the same device they fought a year ago. The xs will definately be better than s2 because during that time there was no hd display but the s2 had an amazing display. This is a wrong comparising. At least it should have been compared with galaxy not since it also has hd display. So is xp good enough to beath yhe amazing Gnote? Wait for yhe launch of s3 to compare or u can even use note. Am not any strong fan of samsung i just want you to face reality. Thanks

Definitely Xperia S!
Its the best that Gingerbread has to offer today and optimised to give the best user experience. ICS is still a baby to be nurtured, we saw that with the two updates that the Galaxy Nexus has got till date to fix the bugs. You can expect the same for HTC's ICS. Moreover by April-May when the ICS update is coming to Sony, most of the apps on the market would have optimised themselves to ICS. Currently there are so many apps which issue a disclaimer saying "ICS users may face functionality issues." So its best to have ICS a couple of months down the line.

Everyone z lost in their own assumptions... We all knw that samsung galaxy S2 was awarded best smartphone of the year in 2011 n sold more than 20 million units in just a short period of 10 months... Thz comparison doesnt make any sense coz u r comparing an old device wid a new one... If u wanna compare the xperia S than compare it with htc velocity 4G or any other smartphone released in 2012... While lookin at the specs, xperia S z much better than galaxy S2 but S2 is a legend... So what once samsung releases its S3 thn u take its comparison wid xperia S n tell me which one z better ;) sony has not done nything big wid its android or so called xperia series but it is the galaxy series nly which took samsung to the first place n making it the king of smartphone manufacturer... Even if u look at android share in the world than u will find that the samsung has biggest market share than any other companies wid android phones... Cheers to samsung... In my opinion if u compare company wise than samsung is way ahead than sony but if u compare these two devices than sure xperia S is better compared to S2...

Wow, I love the HTC ONE X, Its got ICS 4.0 on board+ Sense 4.0 which is probably the best UI amongst Sony/Samsung/LG and other android phones. It has a good ppi i.e. more than 300, Finally It has a great hardware to match all these things with a 5 Core and enhanced GPU. However, I am scared of the battery (Only 1800 mAh)
I am a proud owner of Samsung Wave S8500 but now its been nearly 2 years and i want to get rid of it. I am confused between this and the Sony Xperia s. Xperia s has the advantage of better screen but smaller size, Better camera but lower specification. Plus, This comes on board with ICS and I am really not sure how long will the customers wait for ICS in Xperia s.
Help me out guys, Thanks a lot. I have no budget, Just the best phone (Android)

They brought out the first to almost every Mega pixel to phones, amoleds, they make their own parts, the supply other companies with chips and cpu's(not justapple), they have been leading in phone can quality, they have way more unique designed then the galaxies, they brought us HD and high end graphics. Who do you think started what you claim Samsung copied? Apple? HTC? Sony? Lmao!!!
