The Galaxy S III's sensor offers an F/2.6 aperture.

Very poor Samsung the HTC One X is F/2.0. Samsung should have put at least a F2.4 Aperture

First of, nice preview, i'm now more eager to hold that sweet phone in my own hands...

Second, i think it the sIII is a TOP smartphone, and at least now after reading the preview, better then the one x. For me, the battery problems of the one x are the main reasons why i didn't buy it yet and now the sIII hast a bigger one, thats just great! The pentile issue isn't a problem at all, really, only on paper, in real life no one's goin to ever notice a difference between the one x and the s3.

The software features nice gimmicks, some of them are usefull and some are not but all in all, one thing is mainly important, the main features work just perfect, no problems at all, and thats what i need, everything else is just on top of that.

I had my eye on this, but was disappointed. It's just not attractive, even looking cheap.
I don't care much about the revocable battery... I had an extra battery for my Nokia n900 a couple of years ago and probably only needed it once a month. As for storage, I only have a few hundred songs and a handful of videos (not movies as I don't like watching lengthy videos on my phone), so doubt I'll need more than 32GB.

I guess I'll be getting the HTC one x to replace my galaxy s2.

AnonD-51832, 09 May 2012Why does a phone has to have removable battery. I mean even... moreRemovable battery allows you to replace it with aftermarket higher-capacity one. That's main good point I could think of.

Why did all my posts suddenly got deleted? Hmmmmm...

If a dual core krait processor can compete with the quad core exynos, just wait till they implement the quad core kraits on new phones. :)

Why does a phone has to have removable battery. I mean even a phone that does not have it last at lest 2 - 3 years. And I bet most of you all will change phone in about 1 - 2 years anyway some even faster. I mean new phones are being produced faster then we can mange to keep up... and every time a new phone is made the technology is going forward, new things are invented and better phones that suits everyone's needs is soon out. So please stop the nonsense about how bad a phone is because the screen is not as good as you thought. It is not always about how fast, or better memory, or better camera, has/has not SD card slot, a phone is.... for ME its all about size..and this SGS3 is way too big... but i hope this phone and size and needs it perfect for others.. So please stop the fight between HTC, SONY, SAMSUNG, APPLE.... they all do great phones in their way, some better in other things some worse.. everyone cant make the things on a phone YOU need or like.. You cant force your likenesses on someone else just because YOU think its better.. So please stop it now and help others instead with questions and with the needs they have, don't mock them because they like a phone that you don't like... stop the fight, let HTC, SONY, SAMSUNG, APPLE fight instead... that's better for us.

AnonD-21645, 09 May 2012To be fair, I doubt many people change their battery! But,... moreWell, I have no doubts that battery and storage are quite important for quite lot of people. I didn't mean to say that this is insignificant.

To answer original question - myself I never even realized how much storage memory do you have actually left after installed software, since I never even looked seriously at "free storage" stats.

Myself I guess I never felt like needed much storage because:
                                  a) I store manly music library in my phone's memory, and this takes about 4gb
                                  b) I don't watch movies on my phone, it's not really comfortable. From movies I could only say that I regularly watch Youtube and news.
                                  c) Sometimes I use my phone as a pendrive, but its only sporadic usage and spare space was enough...

It just that different buyers have different priorities. So maybe I am disappointed of SGSIII because it didn't much _my_ priorities like SGSII did at its time...

Loving the gesture control and some of the new features like smart stay.
Doesn't have the looks but it's got the performance and its new feature are intuitive.
really want to try out that screen shot gesture,;)

After the repeated legal equivalent to a tug of war match over toys with Apple, they still had to do what is quite frankly a Siri rip-off. I'm not taking the position of a fanboy, nor am I an expert in law; but that word-for-word request for weather details and the near-identical animation and visual design of the application in general has to hit a little too close to the Cupertino voice-assistant counterpart. All-Share Play, a.k.a Air Play. The different 'inspired ideas' put forward connotations of a company trying to confuse consumers shopping for a new phone, and blur the lines between itself and the iPhone. Talk about not being 'one of the sheep.'
