I am also not convinced that a non-swappable battery is that bigger deal. I would never carry a spare battery with me and if I was doing long air flights or spending time away from power sources then I would use a 6000mAh USB external battery. External batteries they are quite cheap and a 6000mAh one is about the same size as a phone but can completely charge the phone 4 or 5 times before needing charging itself.

which is better novathor or tegra2 ?
I has Tegra2 but it sucks at playing video, limited hw codec.
Anyone can share experience of playing Hi10 720p video under NovaThor ?

the xperia sola has a poor battery and no front facing camera!! I'm not gonna buy this phone but i'M GONNA BUY THE SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE 2

And most Xperia phones haven't received their ICS update yet.

GSMArena, you didn't test out the "Glove-mode" feature! The one tha makes the phone usable on gloves! Seriously, other than the floating touch, the "Glove-mode" is a neat feature too. To activate it, on the unlock screen, slide the lock panel normally but using gloves. After the lockscreen, the whole interfave can be used by gloves. A single touch after using finger after activating the "Glove-mode", will deactivate it. So you have to repeat the whole process again to activate it.

In terms of Pros and Cons I am not convinced that no ICS is a con on a small phone. Google have really blundered by producing a bloated and buggy new OS requiring much more power to run. I am not convinced it makes sense to go to ICS let alone the lack of ICS being deemed a con.
On the same topic if this phone was on ICS I would list the RAM as a Con (same as for the one V) as ICS reserves 340mb so that does not leave much.
I am interested to know more about the browser (since at present you need to keep the standard browser to run Floating Touch). Can you go into a full true screen mode and hide the top phone indicator bar?
Can anyone answer that?
Also, what is the spacing like on the favourites and what are the display options of favourites (pictures view, list view, sort by usage, sort alphabetical, user defined sequence).
Also what are the tab control options? Display tabs/swipe between tabs?
Can you set text size?
Can you edit a URL on the page you are on? (this is impossible on my Defy+)
I am really looking forward to seeing this compared to the Xperia P. A battery test with the Ace 2, S Advance, One V and Xperia P all set to the same screen brightness output (lux) would be great.

still don't understand why should I replace my N1... I'm looking for a 3.7 screen, it's perfect for me (others are too big) but the specs are just like... 2010... shame

this is a sexy looking phone..sony actually did a good job but fails on marketing and release date..from some users they state that the phone has more or less the same battery performance as any android because of the whitemagic technology..but sony decided not to market the technology further and market every product with an advantage each..(xperia U: removable cap, xperia P: whitemagic, xperia sola: floating touch)..this kind of marketing just doesn't work anymore, customer needs all in one phone technology not one tech for each model..

This is indeed a neat and very good looking phone. I find it the prittiest Sony/SE phone along with Arc.

I am dissapointed with the SoC.
I expected Novathor U8500 would be able to play 1080p video and flash content.
I was thinking of buying Xperia P which has the same soc.
But now i am dissapointed.
I would buy One S although it's more expensive than Xperia P if it had an LCD scren.
Now what???

Very cute phone, bought it 2 weeks back. Looks like the secondary mic is giving some noise when you speak, Gesture Input (Swype) does not seem to be working even after enabling it, need to check for any s/w update. Otherwise, very fast processor and good gaming phone too
