how is LG using the APQ 8064 cpu , from everything I read previously on anandtech the APQ 8064 was for tablets and had no baseband, it needed to be paired with chip with bsaeband

Shame shame...my sgs2 scoring 51.6 fps running ics..go fr sgs2 u wont everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr regret it perfomance wise..o4x is a grt device bt still i recommend sgs2 as a gaming device bcz dere is nly little diff in gpu's fps nd sgs2 cost less too :)

This phone is a giant in terms of its quad core and battery. The extra unlocked core in the processor is obviously good. But the best thing I liked about it is the UI which is on par with Sense.

I just sold my HTC one X and bought a LG optimus 4x. Trust me, its a great device. Brilliant screen, never hangs, never heats up badly(HTC was an iron box). It feels solid and smooth. Finally LG has come with a great device. grow up. Get rid of iPhone and Samsung and try something new for once. You will never regret buying this phone.

LG Optimus 4X HD has its own name and design that can be boast of. It's not a Samsung Galaxy S III or HTC One X, but it runs quad core. Definitely, the design is also good. You can check this video:

If you want a cheaper smartphone with quad-core running processor, definitely, LG Optimus 4X HD is a good choice.

I haven't had a LG Smartphone before but I was considering a Optimus 2x as a well priced (@ 250 Euro)mid range dualcore phone because it has Nvidia Tegra 2 and GeForce ULP. After doing some research on the phone I noticed too many people were complaining about poorly developed and bugy user interface/software and the phone freezing up too often. Many 2x users are also seriously unhappy with LG seeing as they said it would support a Android 4 ICS update and then they later falsely claimed the phone has a too weak architecture to support it and they will not be releasing an update (LG Mobile's facebook page is bombarded by unhappy Optimus 2x users as a result of this). Obiviously this is the Optimus 4x you are considering if you are reading this and it is not the 2x, but if I were you I would stay away from LG smartphones seeing as it seems LG are not very good at developing smartphone user interfaces/software and they make promises they can't keep which is very bad business practice. You money would be better spent elsewhere in my opinion.

Hi, I haven't read the review in full. But, I just wanted to add as a current LG O2X customer, that LG are a company to avoid. Great hardware is useless without great software. But please make up your own minds. Just bear in mind that LG have a poor track record when it comes to updating software.

jigsaw, 05 Jul 2012LG OPTIMUS 4X is simply awesome. gud wrk by LG...if you share photos taken on these phenos, you're probably revealing your location too. If you want to remove geotags from your photos, use a free app called Pixelgarde Photo Privacy Editor. It's fast, simple and free.

With the Economy now, these tablets sholud only cost $199 max. Imagine these company profit making like Apple, Google, Exxon contribute to the economy instead of taxing consumers or working class people, we will be back to our Grade GREAT rating. WE THE CONSUMER ARE THE ONE WHO'S HELPING THE ECONOMY, so keep the price low.

I'm dying to get this beast but it's not yet available here. so should I just pick the LG Optimus 3d MAX, Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X or should I just wait till I get to the states and buy it from there??
I'm literally exploding from the inside just to get it :( and it's nowhere to be found :'(
