Guslez, 05 Jul 2012A review for an "soon very soon" obsolete phone? ... moreNokia 900 will be soon 250-300 euros maximum, free from any contract with all taxes included, and at this price it is a wonderful smartphone. NOW in Romania on grey market, a Nokia lumia 800 and Nokia N9 are about 250 euros without contract, totally free and this is a superb choice. Is is all about the money, not the fact if Lumia 900 is a total high end of our times like Samsung Galaxy S3 or not. At 250 euros will deserve every cent

With so many smart phones now using a micro sim, I'm wondering why this is considered a disadvantage.

all thisupdating os craze is a recent thing introduced by the arrival of android and it's fragmentation issues, i'm not bashing on android as i am an android owner myself and i love it but a few years ago nobody gave a flying crap about updating thier phone to a next OS and as most manufacturers said on android the best part of the single core devices may get android 4.0 and thats it, so most of them have got 1, at best 2 major os updates, thats saying from 2.2.x to 2.3.x and some lucky ones 4.0.x, and the single core android phones releasing now with ICS can bet to be stuck on it forever and they are still selling, so i dont think to an average user this will matter terribly as long as the phone works and does what they need it to do.
As for all the people claiming nokia is dead i beg to differ, Nokia is far from dead, they may not be top dogs anymore but they still ship an impressive amount of phones, i mean we as super smartphone users are in the top 10% of the population, in places like africa and south east asia people are way to busy surviving than caring what goes into their phone and what apps they can install as long as it calls and sends texts they are happy with it, and nokia is still king of those so called dumb phones in that part of the world.
So all in all i think, provided WP8 is very good, comparable to or better than Android and IOS the next nokia flagship along with nokia's knowhow into the making of one like the nokia maps which to date are still the best offline mobile navigation software and some pureview technology to market it with will really make a big splash into the mobile phone market, and for all the samsung and htc and what have you not fanboys and girls who bash on nokia i say that you better hope that nokia does not switch over to android because if they do then the other companies may as well call it quits as nokia knows how to make a buzzworthy phone and as far as marketing goes buzz is all you care about, what i mean look at the past couple fo years how nokia has released phones on supposedly dead or useless platforms and how much buzz they have created, phones like the nokia N9 on MeeGo, and the N8 and N808 on symbian, and those phones still top the charts in terms of buzz and this is all good marketing to get people to look at the company as an innovative company, so if the same people hear about an innovative phone by that company on a widely known platform like androind, coupled with decently specced hardware the other manufatcurers who have very little in recent innovation (i mean from single to dual core to quad core, that's mere evolution, and same goes for screen resolution) are in for a tough time.
those are just my two cents
