Am enjoying my Q10, but the only problem I have wit it is this.. I find it difficult to send friend request on my instant messenger, each time I send friend request it will show me sent but it won't appear in the other person's phone and if someone do sent me a request also it will be pending on he's or her own phone, so I need to know how to come over this issue?? But I do love the phone

I've had enough of android phones and I was in a continous search for a qwerty smartphone. After the first uses the battery life will prolongue to 2 days and a half. Linkedin, Facebook and email works very well. Btw, after I passed from android I realized how much time I was loosing on my Note 2.

BB10 looks and feels good. But the problem with these new BB pones is that they are too little too late. There is no compelling reason to buy these phones at this premium price.

I love my q10! it's very solid and premium type BUSINESS phone. it needs some minor furnishings since it's a brand new OS, but I can live with that since 10.2 update is coming out soon.

Qwerty keyboard, micro HDMI and, a reasonable size. If only that phone had USB OTG, it would be a nice upgrade to my Xperia Pro.

BBQ10 (LOL!), 16 Jun 2013Why does BBQ10 have no Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail Glass?Because it has a better and newer type of screen (gorilla glass's becoming old...).

I hope those Shenzen companies make a perfect replica of the Q10 with MT6589Turbo. That SOC has Radio, Dual SIM, GPS, 13MP support and everything I need on it.
Those Chinese companies are making top notch stuff these days with Gorilla 2, destructive testing, quadcores, even using Samsung's Exynos Octa core. I hope they take the risk with a qwerty since BBM will now be pre-installed. That would be a phone you can happily gift a non tech-savvy father.

For the record the q10's screen is wider than an I phone. The people that want the q10 will most likely be upgrading from a 9900. Removing the track pad and other navigation keys will make the screen about the same size as an I phone. Not as rectangular but wider and squarer.

AnonD-78488, 02 Jun 2013I've long withheld switching to Blackberry from my former N... moreRegarding Apps missing on BB10 devices like the Z10/Q10 and soon the Q5 (although many pending apps will be released by then) ... as long as you can find the APK files for Android 2.3 apps you require you can quickly search for a website based converter for APK to BAR file and then download the converted app to your PC/Mac and then side-load it to install on your BB10 device.
VERY simple!!
Radio ... do you REALLY need to listen to a RADIO on your smartphone?! Just get a very decent data plan and then stream from radio apps like Slacker/XMRadio etc both are available and Slacker comes stock. Many features are there in comparison to your E71/E72 ... MUCH better camera and features for it stock.

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2013"Screen size is too small by today's standards and the... morewell said anonymous,
I still think you should try the BB Q10 first hand:
Full QWERTY - along with more powerful keyboard shortcuts and searching (old long scrolling menu is LONG GONE).
Very efficient for ActiveSync or IMAP emails (90 days limit), ActiveSync (is indefinite, no limite of email history).
More secure platform,
Equal if not better battery life,
HD Voice support,
DLNA with MirrorCast support coming later this year with BB10.2 update.
MicroHDMI Out - sometimes you'll find a TV/LCD that doesn't support DLNA/MirrorCast that you'll want to export to.
External vs Internal screen display support (have your PDF/PowerPoint on the Q10 with notes, the external display just shows the PDF/PowerPoint for room members to view (not your notes).
There is so much more ... and regarding the touch screen (your E72 supports that doesn't it?), there are heat sensors which quickly learn and adapt to how YOU type, not generic ... the new auto complete learns VERY quickly, from your emails, sms, browser input on forums, twitter etc and literally you can type 2 letters, and by quick swiping complete a sentence accurately and in proper context.
MOST importantly ... setup 3 languages and complete sentences in any three ON-THE-FLY no pressing buttons to switch between them, just type and not only is speling accurate in either languages you setup (done VERY quickly) but also the context between them in sentences and paragraphs!
FYI - I know if a executive legal officer for the 3rd largest global gold company you types emails, legal emails on his Bold 9900 (before trying the iPhone) than he ever did on his Windows PC!!

AnonD-58384, 04 Jun 2013Hey call me old fashioned but QWERTY physical keypads are a... moreYou have NO clue what you're talking about.
Ovi Suite, Nokia PC Suite (all versions) and BlackBerry Desktop Manager - ALL used technologies for synching licensed by Nokia ... its called IntelliSync! It's been around for over 14yrs and has been used by just about all desktop sync apps (both PC/Mac). BlackBerry Link no longer licenses this technology by Nokia. Previously Intellisync was created and owned by the company with the same name before being purchased by Nokia ... whom failed to successfully use their MDM solution which competed with BES and Motorola's old company which also did MDM before they sold it off (the name escapes me currently).
BTW > Ovi Suite allowed for a seamless UI that PC Suite failed in doing well, and media syncing was a LOT easier and faster. I've used it for E71, N86, N90 Communicator, N85, BlackBerry 8800/8820/8300/8320/9000/9900/9790/9700/9780/ etc etc.
BBLink also removes a lot of features of the older Desktop Manager a MAJOR FUNKUP by BlackBerry .. the emphasis is on cloud sync services and not the desktop. Using the desktop for backup/restore, and updates (vs OTA as another option). Features are sloooowly coming back to BlackBerry's BlackBerry Link (BBLink).
