I own both models featured here.
My honest opinion is one of 'Both as good as the other'
There's only one slight niggle that i have with my Mate, and that's speaker distortion during calls, it seems to have a metallic echo with higher pitched female voices.
Apart from that, i'm happy with either in my pocket (work is the Mate, Personal is the I9205 {not the I9200} )

Ascend mate are better than mega,i have been used both of them and i strongly recommend to buy mate.it more cheaper and better in performance than mega

Hi all..who can tell me which one is good for gamming,download,upload,performance,responsible,harm or lek and can run smootly and faster between Mate and Mega.
**sry for my poor English..now I use honor u9508 1Gb changed to 4.2.2..** can u tell me which one good and why?

I want ask this galaxy mega 6.3, have the function like S3? Example this..when we charging phone it will have a light and will blinking when have incomming call?Another is this can swipe the screen to capture the image not?

I have the Ascend Mate and it is an excellent phone. The build quality is much better than Samsung. I have used the GM6.3 and I disagree with most of GSMA's results. The Huawei is clearly the superior device in day to day use in every category. Much of their result is opinion obviously based on little time spent with the devices. For example they reject the Emotion UI out of hand. I loaded Nova Launcher to create a stock Android look. It worked perfectly but I ended up going back to Emotion. It grows on you with use. I highly recommend the Ascend Mate as it is cheaper and superior to the Mega 6.3 in every way.

Frankly there is no fight.
SAMSUNG is better than Huawei
Be it quality, processor, camera and display
I will take Sammy without doubt.

using mate for 2 weeks,
before used s3 for 1.5 years.
so far, excellent mobile. no hangs ,, no automatic restarts. camera isnt good. no camera is not good.
other then that everything is superb.
highly recommended.
camera is not very bad but its not close to even s3 performance.
screen response and UI is very nice.
2gb ram keeps everything smooth.
will update more about my experience.
its really v nice. looking forward for p6 to buy as a gift for a friend

Android and Galaxy does not lag excessively or more so than others. IOS and WP lag too. They just use restriction as illusions of being smoother. And it's not even that much.
This whole pretending other phones lag more or that others dont at all is ridiculous jealousy and bs

It has nothing to do with power or Android, it's simply the Touchwiz and probably also some of the Sammy-included apps which causes this lag. Apart from that and it's boring design, it's a good phone, but not good enough for me to choose it.
The S3 and s2 as he mentioned should not have any lag either, but they do.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2013In Malaysia, mate can get at around rm1400 while mega can g... morelatest pricing of malaysia, mega street price is as low as 1380 now, as oppose to official price 1599. while mate price is same as mega at 1599 for official set and almost identical 1399 street price, no point going for mate as there is really nothing much better of the mate over mega besides the larger battery, and yet non-user-replaceable type. the interface of touchwiz is way better than any gimmicky name given by huawei, overall build quality of mega is also much superior than mate. the extra cores and extra amount of ram doesnt really count in significantly for mate as well. really not worth to buy mate unless the buyer himself REALLY needs the bigger battery.
