No new wow factor on ios 7. Nokia Symbian s40 with 2 or 3mb java heap has third party animated icon and theme and runs it very well.
Now i know why apple need 64bit processing power in iphone 5s.

I like it. Windows Phone and Android influence can be seen here and there but it's not necessarily a bad thing. I hated the heavy textures of the old iOS but this is fresh and clean.
By the way - I love the personal touches from GSMArena, Kyle's face here and there, the "boss" message and a few other "snacks" :) Great, you guys! One of my favourite reviews so far.

is it just me, or does IOS look a lot like a fan render of 5.0 Key Lime Pie that was doing the rounds on the tech sites a few months ago.

At the first look I would say they took a paint brush and converted Ios 6 to Ios 7

This is the best of all reviews from GSMArena. I felt like I had hands on iOS7. One thing, I wonder if 512 RAM is enough for all those colors and animations or at least 1GB is required.

"As we tested the iOS 7 on an iPhone 5, it's worth noting that the response is a tad slower compared to how the same thing behaved running iOS 6. In all likelihood, it's more down to the new animations taking a fraction of a second longer, rather than an actual system lag. This will probably be a non-issue for the iPhone 5S and its new hardware."
Come to think of it. Every iphone other than 5s will be doomed to lag on iOS 7. What about the newly bought colorful 5c with the same internals as ip5? Will it suffer the lag??

People should be relieved that iOS have finally caught up with Android. Not celebrating or bragging to others about these features(Android has been enjoying for years). Just give apple a pat on the back and move on. There's plenty more to catch up.

Back then they lauded the flat menu structure saying it is the future and they despise the foldered structure like symbian. But today when Apple announce the folder feature everyone says "hurrah". LOL. What an irony

Apple's new strategy is worrying for Google, as it leverages on its strength of hardware & software control, pushing ahead with 64bit smoothly, which simply cannot be matched by Android.
Also the design of iOS 7 which leverages on its generally powerful hardware, also ca not be matched by Android given its hardware profile standing at 4000+ models currently.
Introduction of new iPads and possibly an updated Apple TV soon will cement this fact.

LOL. Lag is Lag. Moreover if it's going to be fixed with new hardware then it is indeed a system lag. LOL

AnonD-27765, 18 Sep 2013Apple's Appstore is the most lucrative app store in the wor... moreI don't care what Apple pays out. I do care where the masses is where i can earn more money in the longer run.
And the fact that Apple pays out more moneys to devs is because in the Apple world, you have to pay huge amount of money for apps that you can get completely free on Android.
And just because Apple pays out more to the devs because of that doesn't really means it's the best way to go. Alot more than just money is in the whole picture here.

Anonymous, 18 Sep 2013Android is getting smoother and IOS 7 is making the device ... moresmoother doesn't mean it is lighter.
in fact JB takes more RAM than ICS, despite it's smoother.
android is indeed getting smoother with each release(not much difference on 4.1 -> 4.2 -> 4.3), but it's also getting heavier, that's why Android demands more powerful hardware, where iOS can run even on a single core device and just as smooth.
it's not android getting smoother, it's hardware that helps it runs better.
