None of the android phones and iphone 5s would have placed 2nd to 6th place if Nokia N8, Pureview Lumias 920, 925, 928 and Nokia 808 Pureview was included in this tests.

Very nice comparison GSMArena. I am disappointed that the Z1 is not performing that good. I am sure a software update can fix that.

If other phones have good cameras as 1020, how will Nokia survive ?

I love HTC, HTC's UI on Android is absoloutly the best, HTC's phones are very well desgined, but camerawise - a shame.
HTC always had bad cameras and we all gotten used to it, than they anounce something new and exciting - UltraPixel and that's bad either - unforgivable.

I'm a Nokia fan but its camera fails to impress. The OS does, anyway. :)

Nokia Lumia 1020 is undoubtedly the clear winner here.
But there's something wrong in the ranking from 2nd to 6th place.
                                IMO, it should be:

                                1st - Nokia Lumia 1020
                                2nd - Sony XPERIA Z1
                                3rd - Samsung Galaxy Note 3
                                4th - Apple iPhone 5S
                                5th - LG G2
                                6th - HTC One

What happened to HTC's Ultrapixel? I thought it was meant to rival Nokia's PureView? HAHAHA. XD
                                Potato camera indeed! :P

Anyway, this review is awesome.! \m/

As many have allready pointed out the Z1 should be in 2nd place... Only if you value video more than photos you may prefer note3. Also lowlight is much better on the z1 than what is has in this review. Tbh i would even prefer iPhone 5s camera than note3.
Don't get me wrong. I believe the note3 is the BEST smartphone out there. If you don't mind having a large phone then it's just perfect. But regarding the camera it's just not as good as Z1.
And ofcourse lumia 1020 is best by far :)

but gsmarena gave it the 2nd place mainly because it has the best quality video recording.
