I think that most of the A897 Mythic's specs. Isn't correct . Pls gsmarena rewrite the correct specs.

how do you get rid of the stock photos on the phone? they are locked, but you can't unlock them to delete. the locked keypad screen scrolls through the photos and it seems that it goes to the butterfly and flower pic rather often.

Don't you have to get a data plan for the phone, which means internet beyond the cafes? Perhaps, if it's an unlocked phone on another carrier, but then data usage is so costly I'd think wifi would be would be the last thing to worry about. If there's advantage to wifi I'm missing, please tell me.

Hello all. I have seen some comments that for the price tag is not worth it. Well if you get a new contract or renew your contract you can get it for free. Not through AT&T but through wirefly.com ... They have this and many others to choose from, from free to $150.00 depending on your taste.

why would you make a phone with BIG screen and not have WiFi...
might as well just get an iPod touch to watch the videos and get more apps library!

I've played with the Mythic for several hours on two different occasions at two different AT&T stores. The first time I was totally unfamiliar with the Samsung Touchwiz interface and I found myself lost at times. After reading the user manual I went for a 2nd spin. I liked the interface after learning how to use it. Call quality is good. Call waiting is easy to use and the 3-way/join feature is a neat option. Messaging is easy although I think the real keyboard on the Samsung Impression is easier for text input than the virtual keyboard, at least as a first time user of both the Mythic and the Impression. The screen resolution and size is very good. The camera is adequate with it's auto focus and flash, but still not a replacement for a real camera. I struggled with the web browser on both Mythic phones. I got frustrated with the factory browser and installed Opera Mini, and found it much better than the AT&T tweaked Opera browser preinstalled on the phone. On numerous accounts the phone seemed to lag or totally lock up and quit taking input to the browsers. At times it even displayed an error that forced me to shut down the browser. All said and done, I love the features of the Mythic but the jury is still out on using it for web browsing. I'm chomping at the bit for a "REAL" full blown review from GSMArena to see if they too find browser and lag issues or if it was just my inexperience with the interface that caused the problems I had.

I just got this phone today, and so far I'm loving it ! I love the interface, its fast and easy to use. The camera quality is ok. A bit pricy but worth it! the only downside is that theirs no wifi ;( Everything else is great! I recommend this phone to everyone who likes a basic touchscreen phone!
