Superb phone...
Both sims are active at the same time.
Both sims can be loaded at the same time.
Can receive messages from separate sims at the same time.
A truly dual sim & dual standby phone...
Samsung Rocks!!!
It took me 2days to make it battery low from the time i bought it.... it will gonna have amazing battery life of 4 days or beyond...

i hv bought dis phn...its v gud..except that it doesnt hv a call recorder,nd optical trackpad is gud but hopefully it works efficiently for a long term...else everything is fyn..i gv it a 8/10

I bought this phone today, Phone is very good in its cost limit.
Pros: Social Network, Email Setup, Optical trackpad, Back-restore, Apps Download online
Cons: One sim work at a time during call, No Call recorder.
Overall Phone is good 8/10 , but i am going to sell this phone because both sim doesn't work at once there is no use to me.

i used several dual active phones and this is by far the best. you can instal java applictions, internet is great and it looks great. yes, it is no blackberry but it does the job. this phone rocks!!!

i used several dual sim phones, even "china" phones that are dual active. as far as performance, the samsung punch is the best. it is downloadable and you can instal java applications. i am currently using opera mini that is installed in my punch. perfect 10 for me. also, it is dual active. disregard the previous comments. maybe they do not know how the dual sim concept works.

If a call is being hold on a SIM1 and another call comes on SIM2 at the same time. What will happen? Will it get Ring Back Tone, Busy Tone, or Switched Off announcement?

It is dual standby. My wife bought it yesterday and we tested if both sims can actively receive calls and sms. It did with no problems. This is probably the best dual sim phone at its price range.

i use this mobile. positive points is, first of all this is cheap mobile in qwerty mobile and second one is dual sim option. calling sound is great.battry backup is best. i use 8GB memory card and i have no problem in this mobile.
i buy this mobile bcoz i need dual sim mobile.camera,facebook and other kind of softwares does not matter works or not. i use iphone and HTC for using softwares....
well this is good phone with cheap price. 10/8
only one negative point is there is not call recorder in any samsung mobile.
