I've read all the reviews of this phone. The one and only thing that bothers me- DOES IT REALLY TURNS OFF BY ITSELF???

allo, i have really fallen big time for this phone! i love to bits just from reading about it and looking at pictures. i was a bit confused at to what i preferred between d500 and d600 but i am very fussy about the looks of my phones, i love the small black sliding ones and the dirty silver look around the d600 phone put me off. i am not too bothered about the slightly fancier things the d600 brings although the tv output would be great, the d500 sounds better than the d600 to me (bar the tv output) i'm hoping i may get one for xmas or my birthday either that or i'll just have to save. but just wondering if most would agree the d500 seems smarter

i love this phone its so beautiful, i have had this phone for about 6 months and i still have not got tired of it its well worth money, the mp3 is right good and so is the camera and everything else on this phone is brill! i bought this phone for £250 now its gone down in price so i recomend you go and buy it for christmas. it looks great in black or silver...because its just a beautiful phone!!!

This phone is amazing and it has the best MP 3 player. The clarity of the MP3 is way ahead of Nokia and other models. Design, screen display and looks are all better than the Moto V3. Amazing phone to have.

After having my d500 4 a week the text facility would not allow me to receive sms although i could send sms and dial and recive calls dus any one knw why this has happend or has any one had the same prob please let me knw

Difference between D500 and D600 is not just
mega pix on camera or memory slot.
Downloading speed is noticeably different.
data speed on D500 is 32 - 48 kbps and
D600 is 236.8 kbps (EDGE)

I think this phone is really worth buying. It is totally worth its price. The camera is brilliant and the mp3 player is really good. Its the first phone ive had that i could actually put films on!

i have had the moto v3 just be4 i got this phone i think this phone is way better its small unlike v3, it has alot of great features unlike v3 and the memory is wayyyyyy better as the v3 only has 5mb. overall this phone is better. the v3 is a nice looking phone and thats all your paying for.

i think this is the most beautiful phone design, and it's so much smaller and lighter than the v3, but for some reason everyone thinks the v3's better. i think this is the most amasing phone and alot better than the newer D600.

i think this phone is really good! the camera is good, the mp3 is good and its light! i dnt no y ppl slate it! its so much more adcance than loads of phones, especially the V3

i have this phone, i think its ok but for the money i dont really rate this phone.... i think the design is ugly! but thats just me opinion i have now got the motorola v3 and the design is way better

Just because you had a PROBLEM with your Samsung D500 - does not make it a problem with ALL SAMSUNG D500s. The fact that no one yet has reported any problems with the Samsung D600 is a bit dodgy - don't you think?
No cellphone made has no problems!
The fact is to buy a phone that has the least problems!
Have you updated the FIRMWARE of your cellphone? Maybe you bought a cellphone that was in a bad batch?
There could be a number of possibilities - BUT Samsung D600 is not MUCH better than Samsung D500.

Before people think that Samsung D500 is inferior to the new Samsung D600 - remember that BATTERY LIFE is your biggest consideration with BOTH!
The fact that Samsung D500 and D600 both have shocking battery life - the only advantages of D600 over D500 is cardslot, and 2MP camera.
So, don't stress to much about getting rid of the Samsung D500.
Also, Samsung D500 made GSM awards 2005. Now suddenly advertising on TV and magazines for the new Samsung D600 - whoop! It's slightly better, but not that great!

With regard to the amount of mp3s that you can store on the Samsung D500:
it depends...if the minimum size of a MP3 is 3MB - and you devote your entire 96 MB - then 32 songs (96/3)
So, it depends on the quality of the mp3 - and then some basic division.

Good evening
I seem to be experiencing some weird events on my Samsung D500:
Some days when I'm trying to type an SMS - the screen / keypad seems to be delayed and then comes alive again after 2-3 seconds.
Also, the phone sometimes Restarts ...why?
Does anyone know if my Bluetooth device is activated - can anyone intercept without knowing the pin / without me knowing - I have some naughty files on my phone which I don't want in the wrong hands...

Its a grrrrrrrrreat phone but its a bit cubby and awkward to have in yer pocket, how come it wasnt mentioned at all in da review or from comments tut tut should all be ashamed i tell ye
