With lithium ion batteries, the fastest way to kill them is to completely flatten them.
They work in pretty much the opposite manner to Ni-Cad batteries.
The trick is to always keep some charge in the cells, ie ensure it NEVER GOES FLAT.

To Nobita: Well that is just a normal setting on the samsung, you can't change it. You have to do with it.
To LondoJowo: Well if you didn't got a original samsung charger go back to the store and ask for a new one. Better to buy a new one. Always go store first, because it's their lacks not yours, so you had to buy a new charger.

I've had the D600 for 3 months and haven't experienced any problems with it. Though I did have to buy a new charger as the one that was supplied with the phone wasn't an original Samsung charger. Once I got the new charger the battery lasts almost twice as long.

Why so many complain about the D600, I fix and sell phones and own many gadjets, I wanted a phone that would work proper with my motorola blutooth headphones for mp3 + good camera and video and good battery, THIS PHONE ROCKS. I have 30gb + 60gb video ipod + nokia 8800 and nokia 6630 now they are all resting in my top drawer and I carry this. You people want to much but aint gonna get it. Its only a phone! and it works

let me start off by saying: I love clamshells, not sliders or bar type phones, so I was a little anxious about getting this.
not exactly being able to afford the latest phones every month, this phone will have to last me a while, and after seeing what it can do, it will.
the camera is 'okay' but as many people have pointed out, it lacks autofocus.
here in canada, transflash is a little but more difficult to come by. it's internal memory is a little...lacking (especially if you start putting high-bitrate music onto the phone) but the external memory solves that.
the mp3 player's quality is "okay" copared to other phones, or even other mp3 players. it's great and does its job without much problem, although I wish that the port for the headphones would've been the standard type to let you use your own.
it lacks an IR port, but that is a non-issue for most people. the USB transfer speeds are a little slow, but just be patient I guess.
overall, it's a very good phone. I'd definately reccomend it.

To Sarah: Go to your provider ( internet, call ) and then look or ask for your provider settings, then it might work.
To Venus: Well what can i say? I can say you buy the D600! But it's your opinion! So you have to decise which one you will buy, don't ask others, they will only give some advise which phone you could buy, well other people advise's are good, BUT EVERYTHING IS UP TO YOU! LOOK FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE YOUR PHONE! NOT US!
Battery: Well i hear alot of people complaining about the battery which don't have be a problem, or your battery just really s*cks. Mine is excellent no any problems. When battery is up, charge it to fullup! I do charge it when the battery is still at the half, when i need to do a long call. Clean your battery for dust!!! Might work.

I have to say I'm disappointed in this phone. Either I'm very unlucky or the battery in this phone sucks. The second time I charged it the battery died after a two minute phone call. I returned it and got a new phone. I used it for about a month when it started doing the same thing. The battery goes out after receiving an SMS, using the alarm or anything after just being fully charged. This is not because I abuse the battery. I always fully charge the phone and let it empty before charging. I never partially charge. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this phone or am I really unlucky?

To Rods: Well go to the shop or send it back and ask for a new one!
To Prettymeh: You can put picture's by installing the PC-STUDIO-3 and the driver and then you could picture's on it.
