How do you get the phone to display the time and date and any missed calls/recieved texts when closed? Like on the D500?

Hi, got this phone this morning. I am porting my number from the 3 network to o2 and the exchange will happen on friday. I've put in the o2 sim that came in the box, the guys at o2 said i'd have a temporary number for the next couple of days. the problem is that the phone just says LIMITED SERVICE. Anyone know how to get rid of this and put it into normal service. I spoke to o2 and they says its not a problem on thier end. Tried my sisters payngo o2 sim and that works.
Any ideas?

if you're trying to put MP3 onto the phone make sure the file is .mp3 the software is very picky when uploading onto the phone.
Features on this phone are amazing, worth the wait.

Hi Alan, have you done the following:
Inserted the disk that came in the box, installed the Samsung PC Studio 3.0 successfully
Then installed the USB driver (also on the cd)
Then connected you phone via the USB cable to your pc, leaving the cd in the drive
Then allowing any further installations to take place...
If you have done this, open my computer (explanation based on Windows xp)
Then click view system information (on the left under system tasks)
Click the hardware tab, then device manager under 'other devices' do you see the phone
If you do, then you need redo the whole installation process, if you don't all is good.
Now open up the Samsung pc studio, should be in the system tray (bottom right corner) or through start,programs, etc
Now click manage files
File, connection, make sure USB is highlighted, and then connect
Then it should say connected to d600, then click ok
If it doesn't something is wrong with the USB port your using or the cable.

Just recived the samsung d600 within two days of ordering. i am really impressed with the phone, the design is very good, the features are great and the performance is fantastic. I had the samsung E800 before this and was also nice phone , this is now my second samsung, and they are very good quality. the video's are very good and so are the pictures, sounds very good, oh and you can make phone calls and recive them.

Hi Every1.Has anybody tried using the software that came with the phone? if so have you been succesful in downloading mp3 or music to the phone.i've tried and failed.tried using windows media player but no luck.is there any other programe or software to use to do this?.please help!!

Hello all, i have finally got my D600, i ordered it on the 4th of August when my 12month contract was over...a pretty long wait! O2 say they need to send me a new sim card as my old one was a 3G one, and that should arrive on Friday. So can't really comment on call quality but it is an excellent phone. Some have asked what came in the box, here's what i got - manuals, phone, battery, cd, usb cable, tv cable, samsung d600 wired headphones, normal samsung headset, leather case, car charger and phone holder/cradel (for in the car). The last four things came in a separate samsung box - but i didnt pay for any extra stuff. But still no memory card :( Anyway ask any questions and i'll try to answer them. By the way, i read here that someone got 128mb tflash card for £12 - where'd you get it from?

hi guys what is the zooming level in this phone.the specifications mention 4x level
but the review says 2x level.pls let me know.

i got the phone yesterday. wow! i didnt like the idea of the design, however, now that i am using the phone i find that its compact, user friendly, and has the most amazing features. Both video and photos are crystal clear! Im just adding my 2cents worth, as I read all these comments yesterday before buying the phone. If you are in doubt, dont be, this phone will take care of YOU!!

I saw the Samsung T809 in a post before me. Looks like the razr + d600 combinded? That would be hottt. And it seems like it will be less expensive. Any ideas?

I had the D500 now D600. it comes from carphone whorehouse with phone/charger/usb/tvleads/headset/samsung pc studio. No memory card. The video is excellant and camera compared to the D500. However the clock does not show when not in use although not a problem just open it. fingers can obscure the lens if your used to the D500, but you will get used to it. the 3d sound(Hmm nice name) is just two speakers on either side. but it is better sound quality and louder than the D500. the only thing i can really fault it on it lack of the lip when you push it open, i tend to now and again push my finger up onto the larger screen. its pretty cool when viweing videos when you press the hotkey 1 to rotate the image to a larger one. all in all better than the D500. but only slightly. 8/10

I'm with Vodafone, my D600 came with the TV cables, charger, handsfree kit - no usb cable.

I got mine from http://www.theorder.co.uk/phones/Samsung/D600 it comes with software, tv output, charger, wrist strap etc but NO flash card - they simply don't come in the box...period !
