Dear Samsung D600 Lovers
I just received my samsung D600 today, a few hours ago, i own a sony ericsson K750i too, and i have the following notes regardding the samsung D600:
1/ in size it is larger a little bit than the D500 and a little heavier too (i had a D500)
2/the screen display is fantastic, the colours r very bright even brighter than the K750i (which i also have)
3/You can NOT copy contacts from ur phone to the sim card, ONLY from the sim card to your phone
4/I tryed the TV out, it shows the videos that u have recorded in FULL SCREEN of your TV set, but when showing pictures or the menu of the phone itself, it only shows half of the TV size just like looking at an A4 paper with the TV blue background on it's left and right sides.
5/ Opening the phone (sliding it) is easier in tjhe D500 because with the D600 u do not have that sliding edge on the top of the phone were u lean ur finger on it and push it up or down.
6/ Thank God the mp3 player has an equalizer this time not like the D500 which didn't
7/ the package includes the cd pc suite, USB cable, TV out cable, dual stereo headphone all black in colour and the phone and 1 battery.
8/ One anoying thing which u have to get used to is that everytime u want to use the camera, u have to lower ur finger where u hold the phone because u might be covering up the lens because it is on it's exterior, but the good thing is that u can take a photo or capture a video while the phone is closed (i.e. slided down)
Phones4u had only 3 i stock and i called them up early this morning to reserve mine because i got the contracyt a few days ago so i pre ordered the phone.
I would give it 9.5 out of 10 it's a fantastic phone,
By the way, the menu has improved over the D500 and it's got more options

As i am not good at writing reviews. I wont
buy i hav used the sony ericsson w800i and i whould say that the samsung d600 beats it hands down

why doesn't a person that has this phone write a mini review with pictures! I'm having great idfficulties in deciding what to do, samsung d600, sony ericsson w800i or wait to see what sony announce in less than 2 weeks (their new batch). A proper user review however of the d600 may swing it

Guys!!! this could be a good news or a bad news.. D600 is not releasing in U.S !
I called Samsung yesterday and they said it has no plan of releasing it in the states.
So.. it's a good news for those ppl who lives in U.S. and wants a unique phone of their own. And it's a bad news for those ppl who doesn't have enough money to pay for the sim-free phone..
I'll have to wait for the price to drop T_T

The Sim free price at Carphone Warehouse is £350, this was the cheepest I could find, phones4u are pricing it at £399 and the average price for other online Sellers is around £385-£395.

Im actually looking for the phone as well on o2 but the phone hasnt been published to an online tariff yet, should be in the next few days, I have a d500, and i want to get d600, very very nice phone

Received the phone today from Carphone Warehouse (Sim free), impressive hardware all-round but there is no Voice recognition, which some Internet sites have been quoting in the specifications. Also there is something called “sonic wellness” (accessed by going to file manger then music) it’s 4 light & music shows but I have no idea what it does for the phone, can’t be screen saver as it plays music, nor can it be set as Video caller ID, manual makes no mention of it either.

Can you beleive the O2 online store is still pushing the smasung d500 as its number one phone! I think they're getting rid of as much stock as they can before they release the D600
i mean why change when its doing well!

The sound quality i think is very good as it has two loudspeakers. the menu is very easy to navigate and it also gives you the option of having a flash type menu.it also comes with a function called sonic wellness..

Saw the phone at Phones4U yesterday.
Looks OK, but no doesn't seem to have voice dialing.
Hence, still waiting for the 6270!

very well could be, but what i saw on the cpw site was the actual link being uploaded. Just looked at the O2 site and they have the whole site down so wouldn't like to hazzard a guess.. however if you find a store that has the phone in stock they can arrange your upgrade for you (eg today cpw conatcted o2 on my behalf).. in past experience the actual networks always seem to have the phone last cos they want new contracts....

for those who have the phone already, how is the sound quality of the mp3's throught the stereo speakers and throught the handsfree? and please try to compare it to the moto 398 if you evere heard it.

saw lat night on the cpw site that they were creating space for the d600 in the latest phones section.. so this morning called into my local cpw to ask if it was available ... and hey upgraded and got one today.. Have to say what a fab phone.. pic quality is great..menu is easy to use.. no compalints so far
