well, the most reliable release date is August 1st. It is supposed to be out in August and it probably will be August 1st.
It's just a rumor but very reliable.

How does anyone know anything about this phone yet? It's not been released. I would like to hear more rumors about the release date though, that's always fun. I think it was supposed to be released last saturday 16th of July according to the last rumor, so someone else start a new one now. ;)

The review indicates that the speaker is pretty good. and Samsung has changed the spec to 3D sound. So it should be even better now. Don't spread rumors

The dual speakers this has are crap.......seriously........they're the lowest samsung ever made.....and bad quality.....the cams gud and its the first one whcih shows full screen fotos......but quality not tat gud......considering its 2Mp

Ryan, I just bought the D500 a few days ago. I live in somewhat of a rural area where the 1900 of Cingular is very week. I'm thinking of switching to T-Mobile so I'll be mainly using 1900.

T-Mobile uses 1900 only. I was told earlier today that Cingular uses 1900 in city cores, and 850 in the rural areas.

850mhz? 900mhz? 1800mhz? 1900mhz??
I'm a Cingular user but was wondering if T-mobile has good receptions with D500.

Has anyone read recently that the D600 is definitely going to be a "quad band" phone that will now also transmit at 850mhz. I just got the D500, and reception here in the states is very poor.

The author of that article is an idiot.
There may very well be a 30 (lol!) GB mobile in the future but it isn't the D600. And there won't be a phone with a HD that large until at least 2007.

Samsung says their future D600 mobile phone with Bluetooth technology will have 30GB of storage for your music collection. The “Super Music Phone” is expected to hit the market mid next year and sports a 2 megapixel camera with TV output.

Has anyone else noticed they just changed the D600 specification adding 850 mhz, which would finally make it workable in the states. I just bought the D500, but very poor reception on Cingular is going to make me send it back. Has anyone found a solution the the poor reception problem with the phones that don't have 850mhz?

My gracious this phone is just off the chain! Ive seen it on ebay for 1200 U.S. ouch but I'd almost be willing to pay that!

I have to agree with denzil, the styling is a bit sober and lifeless. I would go for the new Nok 8800, Moto V1150, PEBL V6, SLVR V8 or RAZR V3. I have to say Moto is the mutt's nuts when it comes to styling!
