yeah i did the battery thing for a couple days, and my battery still sucks. ive tried using two different batteries but they dont last very long. my battery on the e730 lasts much longer

Also, can somebody please help me with a Picsel Viewer problem? I downloaded a PDF file from Samsung Global Download Centre; an English D600 PDF file.... My phone opens the 2 pages correctly, and displays an error message: Document may be truncated. Then it opens 50 more pages (which are all blank). Around 60 pages are missing... Can somebody download and test this PDF file from Samsung Global Centre, and see whether they get the same error message? Just download the latest version of the instruction manual and download onto phone... Please somebody help me! >,

Better battery life is obtained by using up your new batteries fully (until phone turns off automatically), then recharge for around 8 hours. Do this a few times, and eventually you will get a normal battery... Basically same advice as bobo person...

for better batterylifetime you must recharge your phone for more than 10 hours.the phone must be power off

For everyone with a question (hopefully),
Pictures taken with the D600 camera at 2megapixel resolution does come out at full screen when you set is as a wallpaper, but the sides are cut-out to fit the ratio of the screen (240x320 pixels).
Also, for Crista...
To obtain the MP3 in background feature, you'll have to access a Russian site. This site contains modified Samsung firmware, with many features that one would not find in a D600 (Offlin mode, Living World feature; in E900 and D900 only, Mobile Tracker, etc) Please note that upgrading to a non Samsung firmware voids all warranties, and if the firmware is installed incorrectly, your phone will become permantly damaged internally... I am not 100% sure of the site myself, but search in google with SAFE SEARCH on... There is a wealth of firmwares on the internet at everyone's disposal...
For people who forgot their passwords...
My only advice is to reinstall the firmware... Or, you could take the battery out, and wait for around 6 months until the internal flash battery goes flat. Doing this will also reset your entire phone...(hppened to my E810). I suggest you phone Samsung up for advice, but they will most likely advise a firmware reinstallation...

Ohh....one more thing ... if the photo does not have at least 240x320 resolution U can't put it all over the screen, because it's to small to fit as a wallpaper. But if U really want that photo all over, U have the download it on a computer and chage the photo resolution to at least 240x320 (I think that 240x320 is the best from points of view like space and quality)

Go to menu, select Media Album --> Images --> Photos (or Downloaded images) --> Go to the photo U want and select "Options", "Set as" and "wallpaper"

I'm considering purchasing this phone, and it seems to have better reviews than the Samsung E900 and D900. I was wondering if you could please rate each phone out of 10 for me? I'm interested in good storage space (internal), decent T9 texting dictionary with the option to add words and basically a good looking practical phone. Thanks.

I have blocked my phone from messages, videos and images with a password and now i cant remember what it was ive tried all my usual passwords with no luck what can i do?

The Bad things:
- the ringtone does not start LOUD, it starts in crescendo and you can't do anything about it (as in Sagem Myx 6-2)
- U can't put your melody as a msg tone
It doesn't have the option "vibrate and ring", only "melody", "vibrate" and "vibrate and after that ring"
The good things:
I think that anyone will manage with the good parts ;))

Nobody seem to answer me here or is there nobody with similar problem? I tried to download some softwares and applications from wap.getjar.com and other wap sites but my d600e would not download anything apart from mp3 music, mp4 and 3gp. Can it be because i have not put a memory card. Please someone help me.

the predictive text is pathetic. Whoever programmed it does not speak english.I now have the A701 (next G) and it is exactly the same, is it all samsung phones

For the Maggs person...
This is the second time I've heard someone's D600 not doing TV-out function. But here is some advice... Go to 'Settings' then 'Display Settings'. Scroll down to 'TV-out'. Depending on your firmware, you will have PAL, NTSC or None. Select the currect system for your country and press OK. This should solve the problem, but if it doesn't, I suggest you take the phone back for a repair, replacement, or a refund... Sorry :[
For the JoeyJoe person...
The USB does recharge the phone, but VERY slowly... Recharging your ohone with the USB cable also decreases your battery's lifetime, thus is not recommended. I suggest you invest in a new D600 charger...
For the imedemaa person...
To get the phone into idle mode, turn the phone on, and go to menu. Then, press the red button for about half a second (the power button), and you are in idle mode. Then, press and hold down the # key on your keypad until the QuietMode confirmation message is displayed. To turn quiet mode off, do the above steps again...

how do you turn the whole phone on silent, all the book says is when in idle... but how do get to idle!!!????

ive had this one for about a year and its due for an upgrade at the end of febuary but ive lost my charger so im currently charging it up using the usb cable which the phone comes with but it appears not be charging what do i do :(
