I have been doing some research on this phone, and the only advanced feature about it is the 10x Digital Zoom Camera that rotates 180º. The screen is nice and clear and gives a good resolution and the camera takes good pictures, however they are not good enough to be printed out.

I would have to say that more cons than pros exist in the phone. For starters, you can not download java games…for some reason Samsung have got rid of this feature which was based on earlier phones, so you only have the three pre installed games…which get boring after a while. You can not add words to the T9 dictionary…ummmm….this is quite frustrating.

The Camera is very advanced. It has the ability to zoom 10x and still maintain a decent picture under good light conditions. However once you take the photo you can’t really do much with it. You can’t edit the picture or assign them to contacts; in fact all you can do is send them via MMS. You can’t download the photos directly to your PC.

No Voice dial or voice activated operation exists…..voice memos can not be recorded….there is no hand free operation either… (To me, they key features that sell a phone!) In fact if you the camera away from the phone you are left with a phone that doesn’t even excel the S100.

To be fair to the phone, it does have decent ring tones 40 channels….so the music quality is near real (mp3)..in fact it is damm good. The phone does vibrate, however it is not capable of vibrating and ringing simultaneously unlike the NOKIA phones.

Overall I don’t rate this phone that much. Looks isn’t everything especially in terms of the Samsung V200 I gave it a 4.5 rating. If you are after a camera phone, purely just for the camera that this is as good as they get (at present) on the other hand I would wait and see what competition comes along. The Panasonic X70 with integrated flash, java and bluetooth plus the Samsung D700 with video and MP3.
