Hi, I just bought the D820 and am loving it! It's such a beautiful phone! It takes a little getting used to after my Nokia 6260, but I guess after some time...
I would like to find out, however, if there is a way to prevent the screen from completely blacking out when it is closed for a while. Help, anyone?
Also, can we rearrange the songs in the MP3 player?

Anyone of you guys know if i can flash the memory of this phone?
i accidentally purchased an english version of the phone and would like it to support danish. but they didn't have that, when i called the store and i can't go down and get my money back.
so i figured maybe i could flash the phone system myself ? and change the language manually ? anyone knows? recommendations?

I just got the phone today... it's really nice but fragile coz it's so thin... I'm still doing the initial charge and wait for 16hrs... someone gave me this advice so that the battery life would last longer than the usual batt life others encountered in this phone.

For emily: to record longer video you must set the "Record Video" in Normal mode, not in MMS mode (default from factory is MMS mode" - enter "Record Video" and click "settings" then choose "Normal"
For others: Battery life is about 1,5 - 2 days (is about 2 hours call, plays MP3 30 minutes and takes pictures 50 times)- anyway its USB cable can charge the battery while you connect with your computer and TV.

i don't know why people are so obsessed with camera. people keep saying about 1.3 mp instead of 2.0 mp in d600, but honestly, do you really see the difference of 0.7 mp when you resize it to the appropriate size on web, or get it printed? i currently have d600 and thinking of switching to d820, but i didn't think camera would be an issue. as someone posted long time ago, camera feature is now out of fashion in korea and japan. they don't really care if it is 1.3 or 2.0 mp except those who are so addicted with higher MP camera phones. just wait and see. people will look for tv and multimedia such as mp3 and video playing. me? i'm switching to d820 because rogers will be launching d600 in canada soon, and the reason i use unlocked is uniqueness.

do you have the tmobile t809 version? if so you have to get new firmware

Can someone please tell me how long the battery lasts in normal conditions? (3-4 calls/day, some MP3 and games played)?

i just got the phone today. so far it looks pretty good. i was wondering how can you record a video for more than 20 secs..i tried to use the video 3 times and the longest i had was 24 secs..it stop by itself when recording a video..does anybody know why? thanks in advance.

It's perfect! I got it on last Friday. Very slim and elegant. It's a new era for Samsung! with TV output and rotating camera.very fast.

I bought this phone yesterday, I tried the camera, video and its 3d sound, basically the camera result is slightly better than nokia 6630 and much better compare to Nokia 6270-though is 2 MP. Video of D820 can produce mp4 that is same with N90, 3D speaker is good too.I had 6630 and 6270 before, 6630 is a good phone but 6270 isn't but has great 3D speaker.
to answer some questions before:
the external memory 64 MB included (micro SD) located outside, on the right side of the phone-just like Nokia 6630.
Yes you can MP3 in background, just like my 6630 before, but you must install application s60 names: My music player for 6630.

Yeah the "E" stands for edge n i dont think u can remove it.
