I had some problems w/ connecting the phone to my pc by using usb cable too. I got it under control.
Here are some steps you need to take
1) Connect your phone to pc by using the usb cable
2) You need to make sure that your phone set as "modem" instead of "data storage."
3) You also need to follow the steps from the manual.
When you done, the place that say "not connected" will become samsung D000
hope this help. I gave you this direction w/out the phone and the manual so they are not detail. If you need more help, just email me back.

I just got this phone today from T-Mobile (T809) and it is great. I followed the directions given by several of you guys here on here on how to get a ringtone from your mp3. It was easier than I thought.
Great display, colors...pictures are clear, great resolution. I have no complaints.

Thanks, kal
I think i will sell my T809 and buy the D820, i want to use the TV out ability. So i talked to one then VP from Samsung Mobile and he said the reason no pixel view because T809 did not have AV out like D820 so no need to add AV out. This allowed T-Mobile to save some money and still keep the core idea of the phone

UPDATE!!! Yah, I am very happy with it. I jsut wanted to put out the Cons 1st. So to be specific with people Q's and such.
The Cons I stated are not so far a reason to bash the phone. So far I love it, and am glad I have upgraded from my V3.

Ok, I baught the T809 (D820) and so far here are my thoughts. 1. The screen is superb compared to any other cell I have seen. Fast, GREAT Video at high rez! Light, almost exactly as thin as my Moto V3! The V3 can't cmopare to this with what's in the inside.
Rececption was just ok, but I just upgraded my SIM CARD and we shall see. MP3's are awsome, but you cant take a call and pause the player. It just shuts off.
Sterio headphones are great but are too loose to my ears.
Battery life, well not so good at full all day usage. I had to Condition the Battery to get good results and I did not think you had to do that anymore.
Web so far is REALLY slow.... I have a 100% unlocked t809 so not sure if this is the issue. It's not using t-mobiles web but cingular.
Got a great pouch for it so no dust so far :) but the magnet does cause the phone to act strange = just freaks out a little, like beeps like I unlocked the keypad or took out the Transflash. Wierd.

this phone does have bluetooth. but honestly its not worth it. the D600 is only about 20 bucks more and its much better than this phone. it's a nice style from samsung, but hoenstly the d600 beats the t809

Hi this phone is great. The sound is clear + u get three full version games in it + if you delete all the junk that comes with the phone like video and ringtones and all the other stuff the memory would add up to 80 mb + but there is only one draw back the sound of ringtone is really low you have to look for a high pitch ringtone and have only one question is this phone unlocked???

Hello, I have the T809 T-Mobile version of this phone. Does any one know how to syncronize it with Outlook.
When you add music to the phone, does it take a long time per song? How can you make the new songs the ringtone?

hi I was jsut wondering if someone could help me out. I got this phone recently, and i'm using it unlocked on the fido network. It has had horrible reception, which doesn't make sense to me because its quad-band. My last phone was a razr and i had great reception. I know on the D500 you can change the band, is it possible that the phone is set to 1900/800?? I can't the feature to change it. Any ideas????

This phone is incredible, it has the hightest resolution I have ever seen on any phone. This is one of the best phones on the market by far, I should know since I change cellphones ever 3 months. I've even owned the Motorola A1000, but this phone still tops it off. If anyone has any questions on how to operate this beast please email me at cashinosweet@yahoo.com
