Maxima, you can still get vibrate on silent mode by setting it to vibrate and not mute in the sound settings menu. Cheers

Dr.ADEDOYIN; But its working when I check! Just click it. Don't copy and paste. Click 2-3 times and it'll work. (Anyway you needn't try it anymore. It is sent to your mail)

this phones battery is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very bad!!!had mine 4 about a week nd had to charge it 5 times,and i had just bought it....Stick 2 ericsson,woohoo

xaress,, i run some tests and played mp3 with screen off thru headfone back to back and got 5hrs before the battery would not play,,it then continued to make calls for between 5 and 10 minutes it varied somtimes on a few test,,so from that data and years of battery tests i would say that 3.5hrs is more nearer the mark for talktime..In nokia series 60 and samsung d series if you double the talktime this gives you an idea of how long the mp3 will run for non stop with lite off and using 80-90% volume..
On a technical note talktime varies with signal strength,,wether your backlit is set to short or long time on and how much talking is done or wether there is music playing as well temperature of fone and if you have bluetooth on etc,,,Always take these talktime standby times as theoretical maximum as in general they are never reached

In response to the person asking where to get this fone.
Im waitin on mine in the postage at the current moment. But found it on ebay for AU$354 inc $50 postage. So for just a little over 350. I got this great fone. My mate has had it for awhile. So i have had first hand experience with it. But i definitely did not want to pay the outright price in shops, which i just checked and was priced at AU$579.
PS a question i have is: "Will Any 1GB Mini-SD Transflash Memory Card Work?"

Now for something more appropriate to this excellent site. To activate "silent mode" on incoming calls, press and hold # button.
However, don't think that you will still get the vibrate function. You won't. This is also shut off.

SHAWNZJ; mp3 ring tones can be set as ring tone for incoming calls and as alarm tone also, but CANNOT be set as incoming text(sms)tone

I had enquired samsung customer care, whether D 900 would support 2GB card, before purchasing a memory card for my phone. I got a reply from Samsung ERMS on 20th jan 2007 and I shall qoute the relevant part of the reply here:
"3. The memory can be extended in SGH-D900 upto 1GB"
Accordingly I dropped the idea of 2GB and bought a 1GB Sandisk card and it is working without problems so far. (With half the memory filled, a slight hanging of 2sec is felt, but I can adjust it and slight hanging may be there even on a 512 when it is nearly full)

Anyway, I recommend you to stick on to the advice given to you because this may depend on the VERSION of phone.

Also it is notable that no complaints have been reported from 1GB SANDISK users, in THIS FORUM, whatever be the version of their phones.

this phone is amazing. i ordered it off ebay. b4, i had the k300i and this phone is way better. its very attractive, beautiful display, great sliding mechanism. the camera is great, and i enjoy recording videos and saving to my memory card. i highly reccomend this phone.

hey guys great info from everyone on this site...does anyone know the true estimated talk time. american version says 3.5hrs but the UK version says 6.5hrs. thanks for any help.
