Have you taken off the protective plastic cover ?? It makes a big difference.

RYAN: Why? The normal process is you connect the phone to pc via cable, open the pc studio application, confirm that 'sgh-d 900 connected' message is on the status bar(bottom) then open videos..my videos, drag and drop (or copy and paste) the file to a location on pc. Will you please let me know where the problem is?

h.b: Its the comment of the year till now(regarding the torch appln)!! And you have revealled the right application of what they call a flash. They built a competent 3mp cam and included this 'thing' also for shooting in the dimlight(??)
Hope samsung see your comment before they make the next camera phone.cheers.

Video capabilities are awesome and photo's in general are decent. Only reason I gave the phone up was the battery life. If you don't mind charging every so often then this is a great phone. Shame it's only 2g and still eats battery like nuts

Yes Orange still have the homescreen. Oh well, will have to get used to it. Do you know if there is a way of showing who a text message is from before opening it -ie. when it is first received. Is this normal for the d900 or is it the orange homescreen again messing me around. On my e770 it used to say "new message from..." as opposed to just "1 new message" as it does with Nokia phones. thanks H B.

so orange are still using the homescreen then!!The response i got last year was that the homescreen will be of benefit to the end user and as people get used to it they will see it actually will benefit the user as it will enhance not hinder the phones usefullness and bring easier ways of navigation and simplify routes to aps ,,etc ,,etc you get the gist..
Their were a lot of complaints to remove the homescreen but orange said they may provide an option to switch it off but i think it only happened to the nokia n70 im not sure..If richard below has only just bought his fone then they must be keeping the screen which is why i left a year or so ago..
p.s. thats my comment below about torch,,wat happens is i press submit i then curse as i know ive forgot to put my handle

Just used my d900 for an unsightly purpose..I was on way home from store and felt a squelch and wondered if it was dog poo.By opening phone pressing camera button on side of phone and selecting take foto then options ,,flash ,, select "on permanently" all was revealed it was part of an apple..!! My point being that it also has a usefull torch application..Yet another delightful usefull app brought to you on th samsung d900

RICHARD. Tool bar down left side of lcd screen is Orange software and cannot be removed.

STAJP: There is no option given in the phone to remove the edge logo. To know how to remove it, type: 4777 in the search box at the bottom of this page and search.(same method of removing gprs logo, may work)
Also type GPRS in the search box to see more opinions

RYAN: a 1gb SANDISK card will go easily.(I'm using one and many others also) Many people use even 2gb sandisk. Anyway samsung recommends 512mb and says 1gb is maximum.
IMPORTANT: 1.buy SANDISK card only
2. FORMAT the card before first use, with the format option in the phone itself.(myfiles...memory card..options..5.mem card settings..2.format card)

great phone had it for about 6weeks now only problem is that when i come to send picture messages it comes back with unknown subscriber and i cant open any pixs sent to me help !!
