    HEY ALL....!
There may be a few of you who haven't get the 'baby cyber' ringtone still. Here it goes:

Try these mp3 tones also, if you like:

      ALI:
Increasing the volume-I had tried it earlier ( going to Rx vol and changing the values of 5 levels)but didn't feel any great difference. But after the process i felt that the earpiece volume(talking) increased considerably! But still the sound was amplified in some way that I felt it annoying to hold it near my ear, so changed the values back to the default. I haven't tried it anymore.
Now type 8999 in the search box at the bottom and you will get enough discussions on this. It includes a few sad stories of somebody totally crashed and seeking reset codes-but a few only! I recommend you to REFER THE OPINION OF MELSCOTT ON THE FIRST PAGE OF SEARCH RESULTS. It is a different method. I haven't tried it yet. Before changing values, note down the original values. Please give a feedback here.
But Ali, have you tried REMOVING THE CELLOPHANE COVER FROM THE DISPLAY SCREEN? I mean the thin protective film on the screen. There is a big difference in volume if you do this.(Thanx Maxima for this advice)
Ring volume also depends on the source of mp3 files also. What about the volume of the default polyphonic ring tones in the phone? Try these mp3 tones if you like:

Rajesh - what is your opinion on changing the default codes to increase the ringtone volume using *#8999*8378#. Have you tried it? Does it work? Also, any tips on improving the battery life. Only had the phone for just over 1 week - does the battery life get better?

I have a problem, the phone only holds 200 messages, and then 30 on my SIM card. I was wondering if there is a way to have the messages on the memory card, like Nokia's.
                  Thanks for any help! :D

Has anyone else had problems with Blue tooth with this phone? I got the phone in January and it's spent most of that time back at Vodafone. Samsung tell me that it could be a compatibility problem, but surely it wouldn't work at all rather than intermittently. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Before you remove cable click on the "safely remove hardware" in system tray. And remember when you unplug the cable, the usb setting comes back to 'modem'.

                      >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Users of Windows XP Pro do not have to click on the 'safely remove hardware' icon. There is no problem whatsover in just plugging in and out.

However, you are right, the phone will revert back to 'modem' everytime from 'mass storage'.

MIRCEA: Your memory card data cannot be accessed through pc studio. Connect phone and pc using cable. then go to settings>phone settings>usb settings (menu 9-2-8) and select MASS STORAGE, instead of modem. memory card data will be displayed as a flash drive in "My Computer". Before you remove cable click on the "safely remove hardware" in system tray. And remember when you unplug the cable, the usb setting comes back to 'modem'.

ALI: Re:message alert window. I've seen you repeating this question here, but I'm equally unaware of any method to hide the alerts window. You might have referred the codes also.I Agree with you in that there is no point in having both these and it would have been better without the alerts window. But there are other arguements also. If the message alert window doesn't appear, one has to go to messages>my messages>inbox and read the message, instead of clicking 'view' on the alert. Same is the case with missed calls -no quick reference.I don't think these changes in theme wallpaper are meant for indicating anything(you neednot look at the mobile screen to see whether it is day/night :-D )Only to keep the display lively. But samsung should have provided a hide option to alerts window, for people like you, who want to make more out of the device.
Continuing with the camera settings discussion, there is a definite purpose for the FULL SCREEN VIEW FINDER - when you take a photo and set as WALLPAPER.Regarding the size,I think 800x600 enough for viewing in phone(?)You can have large photos 2048x1536 also, but I'm not sure about the quality. I usually take photos to be printed,in size1280x1024.

Rajesh - I wonder if u can help me with this question. I think it has been asked before but I cannot find any answer. When you are using the theme and you receive a text or missed call, is there any way not to have the missed call/text screen and just have the fireworks or the plane. There is a demonstration of this on the following website http://www.lightmaker.com/news...g/player.htm
