Rajesh. Still cant get opera mini on my D900 and still cant download directly from wap. Help. I love this phone and don't want to part with it cos of this situation.

RAJESH Still cant get opera mini on this phone. I love the phone but it worries me not to be able to download direct from wap.
Poor performance for camera at low light why not samsung copy Sharp. Sharp TM150 camera the best ave ever seen.

ALLAN: i can change my wallpaper to a regular photo... but i was wondering cause i liked city's background cause the sky changes colours as the day goes on...and it's kinda interactive...whereas the normal pic... not so interactive...

RAJESH: if i change my wallpaper to normal, i am able to switch off the 302 720 numbers... THANKS for that!
but as for the changing the home zone... it doesn't change the city on my background...

U know..i've been thinking abt the camera problem in the dark..and i understand this is the quality problem for both 3MP phones as for 2MP.A last Q on this forum: is it such, but SUCH a big difference between a 2MP and a 3MP cameras on phones? Coz i see some companies keeping the 2MP on most of the new models.. Thx again and excuse my lack of knowledge..

I am planning to purchase this phone but I am big on extra features so I have a few questions: Can you assign pictures taken/ringtones to a particular contact in your phonebook? Is there the option of downloading or uploading "real" ringtones to the phone? and finally, the phone I will be purchasing will be unlocked because this phone is not currently available in Canada-when putting in a Canadian SIM card instead of having "Fido" or "Rogers" on the main display it shows a six digit network code-is there a way around this? Thanks for any help, feel free to email me!

ANA. Yes the camera can take pictures without shutter sound. Go MENU 8 - 1 - OPTIONS 8 - 2 . You will see 5 shutter sound options plus "OFF". Select and SAVE.

Can this phone take a pict without the any shutter sound, meaning can this one silently take picts without making any noises? I just acquired the t629 and that one takes pictures making loud shutter sounds.

ANNIE SCOTLAND: Thanks a lot for your kindness. like u, i also read these pages regularly for studying others' experiences. I think by sharing, v can explore D900 well and make it a more useful tool. For example, I post some of my opinions here, from the handset itself, using the opera mini, downloaded via usb.By the way, we are curious to know how to copy you-tube videos.What's the suspense? come on.

Hi Maxima and Rajesh,
I am still the silent reader of these boards, but tonight is Saturday and I have had a few glasses of wine and found the courage to post here and commend you both yet again for your useful hints and tips. By the way, I have learnt to copy 'You Tube' files to my d900. It is free and you have to download a small programme. Ask me tomorrow when I sober up LOL Keep up the good work guys.. you are brill

Hello. I hope someone can answer this question. When you are playing mp3s on the d900, can you close the slider, and make the music still play, or does the music stop when yo close the slider?

FOR THE NOKIA FAN: I've been using this for a few months. the bluetooth is ver.2.0 -excellent -and you can take my word for that. camera, in my opinion, one of the BEST 3MP(autofocus also) when there is ENOUGH LIGHT, but dim or dark- poor quality. the flash can do nothing to help photos at dark/dim light. but when it comes to the video, it records in mp4(rare feature). so excellent quality. But apart from these, the stylish slider provides you many extra features. one more thing for you-the nokia fan- sms tones can't be customized in samsung. no mp3 or downloaded tones-you'll be stuck with the in-built sms tones.
