Has this phone been released in the U.S.? I have seen on eBay of people selling the phone that was released in other countries. Because of this the phone number format is different than what the U.S. uses. The phone number format in U.S. is, (XXX)-XXX-XXXX. With many repeat concerns I am hesitant to purchase this phone.

I would suggest that you buy a phone in the USA. It seems like they really want to control you there.

Thank goodness I know longer live in that fascist land of warmongers.

Just bought a d900 in China. I will be moving back to the states soon so does anyone know if I can use the phone there? If so, am I limited to a certain carrier?

        I have a question:

I have a D900- no complaints at all. Works perfectly for me and I have yet to find faults with it....
However today when changing the wallpaper from the Settings menu, it would not allow me to select any pictures from my Downloaded or Favourite folders.
I could do if I viewed the pics first, and then changed it that way, just not from the Display settings menu.
Is there any reason for this? I used to be able to.... can it be fixed?! HELP!
        Thanks :)

one word PERFECT!!! For all you people moaning about the keypad tone, you can turn it down/off by the volume button on the left hand side!

Vicky, thanks for your opinion. I'll keep my D600 and save the money to buy another phone later.

                    Dear D900 users...
I am currently a D600 user with a Picsel Viewer problem... I recently downloaded a PDF file from Samsung's Global Download Centre. The PDF file is a English D600 Instruction Manual. My D600 opens the first 2 pages correctly then displays an error message: Document may be truncated. Around 60 more pages are opened blank (white). The PDF file consists of around 110 pages... I was wondering whether any D900 users have the same problem? Can you please download a D600 English PDF Manual from Samsung's Global Download Centre and see whether you have this problem?

Thank you for your assistance... :)

                      The bad:

1)background noisy-house-recorded keypad tone that can´t change when selecting menu options.
                      2) lower keypad keys are hard to reack cause of the bottom shape.
3)only 2 skins that are ugly and do not take advantage of the high resolution display this phone has.
4)camara is nice as long as u have good lighting, otherwise it sucks.
                      5) Video is not that good.
                      6) a little too big (wide)
                      7) Battery life is much shorter than other samsung models such as d600.
                      The good:
                      1) the looks
                      2) the display
                      3) the sound
                      4) the camera when taking pics with good light.

I still have my Samsung D600 and I like it better, I gave the D900 to my hubby.

Top 5 phones? Hmm.. well, I'm really fussy lol... but ...
6230i is good, and the 6280 was nice too.
The V3X was good, altho I couldn't get on with the predictive text - seems to be my hangup with Motorola and the SE Z610i was very foxy, but my all time fave would be... *drum roll*...
The SE K800i :) Shame it's such a basic shape, and that the camera is bulky, but man, that's a good phone!

Vic, out of the phones you've tried out.
                                  What is your top 5?

I've got this phone and I'm really not impressed... too fiddly to use, mainly due to the ridge on the bottom of the keypad.. the low-light condition setting of the camera is terrible for a 3mp, the screen is too fragile and I'm constantly scared of it breaking, non changeable themes, unable to use mp3s as ringtones - I know you should be able to, but mine won't let me! It's pretty to look at, which was what made me want it, but that's about it... not impressed at all, so going back to Nokia. The location based London theme isn't as good as I thought it would be, and unless you have the budget for travelling the world to check when the theme changes, I wouldn't bother with it.
I've had about 30 phones in the last year or so to trial, and sadly, in my opinion, this is one of the worst :(
Of course, others will have differing opinions, so if you like this phone, fab :D
