I thought this might be of benefit to Samsung SGH-D owners when configuring WAP/GPRS/MMS settings for usage on Cingular network.

There is no need to do all this hunting for the right parameters and doing all the typing as there is a web site that will send an OTA message to your phone so you can just install the settings.

The website URL is:

http://www.mywds.com/worp/ota/cingularcare/phonefirst

User name: CingularCare
Password: config

case sensitive.

Select Samsung D307 as a phone on the next page and then follow instructions.

I have a D900 and had MMS and WAP configured via this site with no problems.

GOOD LUCK!!!

My oppinion? Fine. It's a load of rubbish! The signal is always weak! The Kingston 1GB memory card I bought doesn't work! The in call quality is awfull. The camera is great though!!! With autofocus and 3MP!!! Weak battery life. Unnecesarily expensive! No multitasking with java apps. Only 4mb's for java apps :( . Can't upload java apps, must download from the net. Only one theme, with not allot of features. Looks stylish :), but doesn't even the odds :(... i want my money back...

This phone is fantastic, I love the way the menu organizes itself so your most used items come up first, the graphics for compatible legitimate games are excellent and so is the picture quality on the camera, the only downside is that it doesn't take great pictures at night even with the flash and it seems incapeable of recording a video of any significant length, also its exceptionally difficult to get hold of accessories, I would recommend anyone buy a spare battery and battery charger (the spare just sits in it while charging) as the battery life is not great if you are using your phone to its full potential, but the phoner looks great and I love the way it works.

I have bought D900 about 1 week I have a problem with 1 G memory card. The problem is when I inserted sim card sometime can read sometime can't do. I have done the same way you have said - turned off and on again but I still have the problem. Could you please advise me which brand of memory card that you have been using? Now I'm using Kingston memory card 512 MB.

I don't actually have a d900 but i had a similar problem with an older SE. The way i use to make my ringtones louder and brighter was was tweaking with it a little. You can do this by using any 3rd party wave editor type program, although I my self you WaveLab.
By changing the sound properties by either increasing the dynamics of the sound or by using the pre-inbuilt modular effects that you can add to it to increase the sound output without the sound distorting too much. Play the EQ and fiddle the high and low sound frequencies.

Agreed this sounds a little too complicated for a ringtones.. but it's a lot easier then it sounds. Works great for song ringtones.

                              Just an idea tho.

                              Enjoy.

Thanks I hadn't tried the headset supplied as the manual said 'normal headsets are not compatible with the music player.' A tad confusing!!!

To Yplyons:Of course. The music player works only with the stereo headset(cable) like the one supplied with the phone.I also do not think the bluetooth handsfree is stereo at all.It is connected only to one ear is it not?Anyway,if you want to listen to music, use the supplied handsfree or buy a new one,if you have lost it.

I have successfully connected a samsung bluetooth headset to my new phone. However when I go to music player and try to play via bluetooth stereo headset the phone searches for device but does not find th bluetooth device. Anybody any idea what I'm doing wrong?

To bbar: The phone has a message counter.Just go into my messages folder and highlight any item. A small number will appear under it to show toy how many messages there are in the folder.Or go into the memory menu(in messages) to see a list of the number of messages you have. The outgoing messages are not saved automatically. You can select to save a message or not before you send it.Try to get used to samsung pal.
