Sorry to say but we're stuck with the 10 pre set message tones, but IMHO that shouldn't bother you too much, it still is a GREAT phone! :-D Oh by the way, how many phones out there has that VIVID message feature huh? :-D

The D900's battery life ain't that bad, butr you could do a few things to extend the battery's usage by doing the following:
1. Turn down the display brightness to the lowest settings.
2. Turn off keypad tones and other unecessary sounds such as slide tone etc. (You can do this by pressing the side volume key, even if you keep the themes the sounds will be turned off)
3.If the ringer is loud enough, avoid using vibra.
4. Use the keypad lighting scheme to turn off the backlights at times when they're not needed.
Doing these will definitely extend your battery usage time.
Hope that helped:-D

Hi, i am having a problem with the Micro SD (1 Gig) memory card for the Samsung D900. The memory card seems to be working fine, but when i transfer MP3 songs on to the card from my computer, then put it back into the phone, i cant access the memory card anymore, an error message which say "NOT ALLOWED" appears. I have no option but to re-format the memory card, which loses everything on it. Th is is really annoying me as everything else about the phone is great. Can someone pleeeeeease help!!!!!!

Mark: With the memory it is a real problem. Why? For example when u record a video, it can not be saved automaticly on memory card; only on internal memory. Or when u recieve a file using bluetooth, u can not save it on TF; u have to move the file on TF..
Second real problem is the batery; worse than D600!
But with these problems, I still gonna buy this phone.

JH,
7)has Micro SD 2GB card support
Which card (manufacturer/model) did you use? Did you have do perform a full reset of the phone to have it see the full 2GB? Can anyone else validate the usage of a 2GB card?

hello to all the people complaning about this phone..
tghe phone is good if you comprare the price you paid ( around 340 american dollars without a contract )
why are you guys complaning about internal memory if you have a external micro sd till 1 gb..
why you are complaning when you play mp3 using the speakers? who in this world is playing music in his phone using the speakers??? tell me , whom???? NOTONE!! use a stereos headsets...
the camera is much better then the n80, i have 2 phones and the camera is much better in the d900 than the n80...
why people are complaning comparing with the sonyericsson w810... remember, THIS IS A FASHION PHONE , if you want more music features in your phone i recomend this : GET A IPOD..
this phone is really good compare witht the size... you get a mp3 player,, a decent camara, and email with attachments... you can open word, excell and powerpoint .. and please, dont ask ?? CAN I EDIT A WORD FILE ?? guys guy guys you want to do everyhting in your phone.. get a laptop if you want to edit a word document..
please, i bet if you get a palm or a MDA , that has almost the same as a laptop. then you will say : is too big !! gosh..
REMEMBER THIS IS A FASHION PHONE .. NOT A SMART PHONE..

I have the D500, D600, and now looking at the D900. The 500 feels the best in hand and has the best slide. Crappy speaker and display in 500. 600 has GREAT display, and good speakers, although slide is good doesn't feel as solid as 500. Wife now has my old 500 (she only makes calls) haha. I am thinking seriously about getting the 900 and moving her to the 600 and sell the 500.
Anyone know if the 900 has dual speakers like the 600?
On another note, I believe stereo bluetooth headphones or earbuds will be the wave of future. 900 has bluetooth 2.0 which is faster and consumes less power.
I had trouble at first setting up USB for Studio PC software but got that sorted out. USB 1.1. is still slow so using card reader to load TransFlash 512MB card.
The cam sounds like it would be nice because my 600 works great. One thing they should integrate is function to show video in landscape mode.
FM radio and infrared are passe, IMHO.
Wifi would be nice.
I am also looking at Nokia N93 because it has GLASS Carl Zeiss lens but it also cost a LOT more.
Anyone have a 900 yet? Let me know....
Also ANYONE using a stereo bluetooth headset????
