Samsung D900

I have a Samsung D900 and D900i, can anyone give any advice regarding taking pictures and video at concerts, any pics or video I take always end up blurry and any lights from the stage ruin the pic and go extremely bright, so cant make out anything.
Any advice grately appreciated as this has ruined sum concerts I would have liked to have remembered and kept as a keepsake.

JIMMY. First of all check that your recording mode is "normal". To do this go Menu - 8 - 2 - then OPTION 6 and adjust. Should give you extra video time.

help plzzzz...Seems it captures video only for 4 min. due to lack of ability to change the capture space from memory to SD slot...any idea to solve the problem???

Just Got the phone last week and im loving it.i had a sharp 703shf but just got bored with the whole flip phone thing.i was suprised of how long the battery last.my last samsung was like 5 min listening to musix and the thing dies on me already.Some Things like the sliding mech could have been better.and the battery life i little bit more longer.but other then that im happy.lets just hope i dont get that cracked screen everyone has been getting >_

My d900 was unfortunately washed in the washing machine, now when i put my battery in it wont stop vibrating and only the upper lights are on.
Could this be repared?

Nice and small but very 'plastic' keys have split already and phone is only 6 months old!

i agree the W910 is a great option for D900 upgrade (actually it is my second choice after the w890).
it is very surprising that Samsung do not keep the trend of supplying sexy slim phones.
they started creating big tanks like Nokia:-)
We will all have to switch over to SE pretty soon...

Why not try the W910i, it has a 2.4' screen bigger than samsung TFT. but it is a very d3edicated walkman phone. but camera is only 2.0mega pix.

I had U600 and G600. U600 is more for women and sensor keys are not good, difficult to use. G600 I find very good and not big...in the hand smaller then D900 but not so thin. It looks and feels like metall phone...there are some of metall, it weight is more then 105 gr.
W890 is good but I think not available yet.
Camera is 100% good by SE...this is really not problem. I afraid of autorotate sensor like key sensor...it could be problem.
My opinion is stay by samsung weil you will find out no slider, not so fashion like Samsung etc. G600 could be good choice for Samsung user :)
G600 has horisontally photos with fast zoom! (D900 not), G600 has ringing profiles like SE, G600 has user created themes...something like SE. Battery life is like D900. G600 has light sensor (only G600 of samsung phones...not G800). Video is VGA.
Attention: charger and usb and jacks are new and not compatible with D900 or another models U series...it does mean you can not use old car charger or TV out cable for videos on TV.
I like also SE but last couple years I use Samsung and if I buy something else I always change it for samsung :)) I don't know...once samsung always samsung! You must decide. Bye

lest day i want to upgrade my D900 that is over a year old now - what Samsung have to offer?
G600 and G800 are way too big.
U600 measures well but looks very bad.
very cheep plastic looks :-(
bad battery life and touch keys :-(
SE W890 supply much smaller phone (wich is great for me) even comparing to the D900.
alsmost same screen size.
stainless steel body to replace the D900 very plasticy body.
better music player for sure (Walkman 3).
totally cool features like the auto sensore for rotating the screen :-)
only disadvantage is actualy the camera that is also 3MP but lack some features like autofocus (that has big latency) and flash wich is a crappy LED in the D900.
what do you say?

All models are available...G600 I had for 2 weeks and bought again D900.
D900i I bought befor G600 but it doesn't have picsel viewer and rear side is of plastic, not like D900 or D600.
W890 I find very nice. TFT isn't big like by Samsung new models and I'm not satisfied with SE louspeaker by hearing sopmebody...to quite. I think W890 best choose of SE...thin, fashion. I prefer Samsung slide phones...befor Samsung clamshell phones like sgh-2400, A100, T400, E700...

PRIZM. To come out of dictionary, in "new message" mode press and hold star key. Re keypad tones - the oldest question going - tap in to box at foot of this page and search.

i also picked D900 as #1 this is what i own one :-)
but what about a D900 upgrade?
what do you think about the upcoming W890?
i do not see good alternatves in the ultra compact category except for SE...

My choice - top 10 (I used all of them like private-multymedia user and also bussines-user).
Last 10 years I prefer Samsung (simply: thiny fashion models+userfriendly interface+loud loudspeaker), then SE and Nokia+Motorola at 3rd place:
1. Samsung D900
2. Samsung G600
3. Samsung Z400
4. Samsung D600
5. Samsung D520...old model
(another models like U600, U700, E900, with sensor keys are very anoying thing)
6. Sonyericsson K800
7. SonyEricsson W880
8. Nokia N95
9. Motorola Krzr K3

Best phone ever!
Very nice thiny design, elegant. You can put your video like caller ID that is very nice if somebody rings you.
Viewid messages are so nice thing to read messages..must try.
Loudspeaker is more than enough loud by ringing and also by hearing somebody.
If not read this forum and you will find codes for samsung to encrease volume.
TFT 2,15 inch is (trust me) maybe the best of all samsung (I tried G600, U600, D600). Camera 3,15MPIX is fareway better than by G600. G600 makes 5MPIX and photos are only aprox. 300-400kb...what is this 5Mpix? Those photosizes made my D500 with 1,3Mpix.
Realy guys, D900 makes even in the half dark room photos without dots. Photos in the sun or day are very useble like photocamera.
Hardware of D900 I find very hard(ware) and very hard to destroy. Slide mechanism is great, slide is half automatic.
Must say about design...all people who knows me ask about this phone...realy special mobile. Shiny black plastic looks very elegant and worthy.
Very important is back side of phone...this is some kind of gummy like by D600 and realy good...you couldn't scratch them in 10years.
Video capturing is top top...352x288=QCIF and you can see like TV Programm horisontaly (press No. 1).
Battery life=3-4 days...you only has to set brightness of Display to 1 or 2 maximum and you has to set keyboard light on only in the day...this is advice to have very good battery life with this handset.
What to write about pros...MP3 player loud and nice, a lot of shortcuts.
Must say Samsung makes very useable phones and very userfriendly menus...easy to work with, very nice by driving a car...easy to write messages, make phone call.
Display the best nowadays.
E-mail client, you can download Oprea mini browsser and you has internet like at home. Nice games, Phonebook 1000 contacts, easy to share with your PC. That is only 50% about this phone and now I must go to work.
Enjoy your SGH-D900 it is really very very good and beautifull phone 103x50x only 12,5mm...best hardware I had and saw ever!

its 1 yer that i have a d900. its a very good and lovable phone!!!
but i have a question about that: icant see the emoticons ( as messenger emoticons) on it.
may i have to download a special program from internet for it or activate an option in the my phone?
