Ragz, that will be of great help. And one comment; the multi shot photos are too small- 320x240. Still effective

          CAMERA ISSUES:
For all the ppl out there who are facing issues due to the time-lag between clicking and the picture being stored/recorded, you might want to take a look at the following points:
          1. Most digital cameras I've come across have a time-lag between clicking the shot and the pic. being recorded. This issue is "not unique to the Samsung D900".
          2. The time-lag could be reduced by turning off the auto-focus.[i think i've seen this option on the D900]
          3. Try the multi-shot mode while trying to shoot anything that's moving. You could then keep the pics that you like and delete the rest.

Rajan, I wonder how much a phone camera can help you in capturing moving objects. Anyhow K810 camera is not worse than this.

Also, does the D900i show similar problems?

Since it was released later, has the screen problem been fixed in the D900i?

                  Please feel free to mail...

My friend just picked up one of these babies last week. The phone's really sleek; love the design. However I read a lot of negative reviews for this model. Problems mainly being:
                    1. FRAGILE SCREEN - I've come across lots of users complaining about the screen cracking for no fault of theirs and that the warranty doesn't cover this.
                    2. LOW BATTERY BACKUP - Some people say that the battery doesn't even last for a day when they've spoken on the phone for about an hour, listened to 30 minutes of music and clicked just about 6 pics.

Are these claims true? Please let me know cos I'm planning to buy one, but if the phone is really this flawed (I mean the screen), I'd rather go for a nokia or SE.
Also, any similar problems with Samsung D840?

Please feel free to mail me...

Thanks brother Rajesh for taking the time to explain things. You are indeed really kind. I am in a predicament. I am thinking of selling my D900 and getting the Nokia N73 or SonyEricsson K850i because of the blurring effect of the D900. Do you think I will face the same problems with the SE and Nokia? I did read a few user opinions and some say the SE too has the same problem, ie you need to wait until the shiutter clicks before moving your hand.

I need a phone camera to get instant and candid shots of my newly born baby (who moves a lot!)

Rajesh, would appreciate your advice whether I should sell it and buy either the N73 or K810i or am I just jumping from the pot to the fire?

                      Thanks Rajesh

One more audio clip - 3D SOUND DEMO - is added in D900 GUIDE. The link to audio clip is given below. Listen through headset. Turn on the '3D sound' option in musicplayer settings. Don't use maximum volume initially.

Rajan, It is normal. Though it is a competent 3MP camera considering the picture quality, it is not the best in the world. It is not at all good at capturing moving objects. But in auto focus mode, slight hand movements will not affect.
The 3-4 seconds delay, I think, is usual in autofocus mode(you can see that there is no delay in pan focus mode). In other phone cameras, it focuses on first press, shoots on the next. So the delay is not so felt. The D900 camera shoots immediately after focussing, so one get the feeling of much delay. you can withdraw the camera on hearing the shutter sound, there after hand movement won't affect.
I always feel that the sensitivity to hand movement increases with photo size. I wonder others feel this too? So unless I want large prints or so, I keep the photo size small as 800x600 or 1024x768.

Anyone can help. I bought this phone specifically for the camera but I am disappointed with its speed. Whenever I take a moving object, I get ghosting effect. In addition, if I take a still subject, I have to wait like 5 to 6 seconds, otherwise if I move, the is again ghosting. Is this normal? MR Rajesh, you are the expert, pls do help too

                              I bought the D900 lately.
Is it possible to install new fonts? I mean new languages...
For instance, I get a lot of Hebrew texts, but get them as squares since the phone doesn't recognize the characters. Can I install the characters so it will be possible to recognize the letters at least if not to write back in hebrew?
                              Thanks.

Dirk, Yes. Mobile Gmaps is working well in my phone. I had made a detailed reply to kevin earlier. Please search with keyword 'gmaps'.
I have no bluetooth reciever. (The phone has no inbuilt one too.) After using, write your opinion.
