I have a samsung D900. Can this model block incoming calls from specific numbers? If not which models provide this option. Any advice appreciated.
    Thank You

i must be a big fool to take it so long to realise that DOWNLOADED IMAGES CAN BE ZOOMED AND VIEWED FULL SCREEN in this phone!! If anybody still not aware of this, please read further
      ...........................................
I mean, any image you transfer from pc to phone, can be zoomed, rotated, viewed screen-fullll and zoomed when it is screen full! I tried to post the trick twice during the last two days, but for some reason it is not published- probably because of the description was somewhat long.
Hence i have updated the "D900-TIPS, TRICKS& SHORTCUTS GUIDE" with this info. If you are interested, please download by clicking the below link. Sorry for the inconvenience caused to those who have already downloaded it.

For those who complain about the battery life,
Dont! My matess got the N95, i hav a d900, and we both use are phones as mp3 players on our bus journey home. Both of us listen to music for about 30 mins and will make/receive one call or text. It is also likely that throughout the day we will have both had our bluetooth on. The differnece? I charge my phone every 2 days, when it has been some time on 2 battery bars(of the three, though i think it dosen't represent a percentage, because when it gets to one bar it normally turns off[please tell me if i'm wrong]), while my friends N95 needs charging every night. And which one looks nicer? The D900. Stop complaining about what can only be described as the creme-de-la-creme of moblie phones

To change Font size, go MENU 5 - 1 - 1 OPTIONS and scroll down to 11 and adjust. However, it will revert to Medium.

TAMILSELVAN; It is very simple. While in camera mode, you've accidently pressed the VOLUME KEYS ON THE LEFT SIDE of the phone, probably the up key. These keys are used as shortcut to flip image vertically (up key) and flip horizontally (down key). So avoid pressing it by mistake, while you press the camera button on the right side. For shooting, use ok/i button.
TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, start camera and press the up volume key again.

I must be a big idiot to take it so long to realise that DOWNLOADED IMAGES CAN BE ZOOMED AND VIEWED FULL SCREEN!!
And if you are one of the few who haven't noticed it, read this:
                  ....................................................
I mean, ANY IMAGE, you transfer from pc can be zoomed, rotated, viewed screenfulllll and zoomed in full screen. All you have to do is to copy images to OTHER FILES folder, not to downloaded images.
Once in other files folder, the jpeg, bmp and gif images open with picsel file viewer, not with the phone’s image viewer. To begin with, follow these steps; (later you can set your own)
(i)Open the image in other files folder.
                  (ii)From options, select settings.
(iii) Select panning to 40 pixels, turn OFF ‘map on’ & ‘controller’ and save. This helps to view the pictures better.
(iv)Press 5 to rotate to landscape view and back
(v)Press # to view full screen
(vi)Use the volume (side) keys to zoom
(vii)Use the four navigation keys to navigate through the image
(viii)Press 7 to fit the image to its width and use ‘up’, ‘down’ keys to navigate.
(ix)Press 9 to fit the image to the its height and use ‘left’, ‘right’ keys to navigate
Notes: 1. For landscape photos(most of the photos are landscape), rotate by pressing 5 and then press #
                  2. I could view photos upto size 2000x1500 using the file viewer, but when I tried to open 2048x1536 (3Mp) sized photo, a message came ‘document may be truncated’.
Photos captured with the phone’s camera (except size 2048x1536) also are better viewed with picsel file viewer. This is so because all the photo sizes except 240x320 are landscape sizes, and when you view a photo full screen, it is viewed in portrait mode. So you cannot view the whole photo in full screen, but a portion of it at a time, zoomed.(Same reason why the full screen viewfinder in camera gives you trouble) If you want to have the ‘real full screen view’ of the photos you’ve taken, move them to pc, then move back to phone’s ‘other files’, open it, press 5 and press # !
The only difficulty is that you can transfer the photos to other files, only via pc. I can’t find yet, a way to copy images from My photos to other files directly.

                            Memory Card 101 for d900

for all of you having problems with 2gb memory cards. I dont understand why?!?

i inserted my (SanDisk microSD 2gb card) went to media album, memory card, options, memory card settings, format card. And you are done.

(the only thing that i can suggest for those of you still having problems it may be that you have a cheap memory card (always use SanDisk for best results) - or you have an older version of the d900 (if samsung realise that they have software or hardware problems with a phone then they would change it in the production line...you will need to contact samsung about this problem or just make do with a smaller memory card.

                            Cheers,
                            Dozza

                                    D900 Battery Comments
I have observed with amusenent all the comments about D900 battery life. Most users feel its not good enough. If we compare with Nokia products, then we may be justified but D900 still beats some high end phones like Sony ericsson P910 or V800. Battery life in D900 is average for most uses. Lets look at the bright side of this great phone. Its battery is not so bad. I have used some phones whose batteries die out in hours on just making and receiving calls

I switched off and on and all my beautiful thumbnail pictures vanished leaving me with booring list view which i have to reset again. I guess we are stuck with that. I think its the design of the phone.
