Rajesh....Is there any way I can find out if the 1000mAh battery is compatable with this great phone? I know it is not made by Samsung !

MAXIMA; I think it is not possible to Launch the calendar application during a call. In phones based on dragonfly platform, like D900, D600etc the accessibility during call is limited to a few things like phonebook and messages whereas in phones based on HPE platform, like X820, P310, U600, D807 etc, one can access the WHOLE MENU functions during a call.
Advanced shortcuts also don't work during a call. So that's probably the end!

JASON, At the moment, I'm not sure about the compatibility of 1000mAh battery.
      ................................................
JAIME, The common battery saving tips are to minimise LCD brightness, minimise backlight time, reduce ring volume, avoid vibration mode, use headset to hear music, avoid using loud speaker for conversation etc. A spare battery and Samsung external battery charger solves the battery problem for ever.

          Hey all,

I am loving this phone. But I am facing this wierd problem for last couple of hours now. I am not able to recieve any Incoming calls -the caller is getting a message saying that there is some technical problem or the call directly goes to voice mail and I get a message with the caller phone number.
          Can somebody please help......

Ragesh, Your advice would be helpful mate , Great phone , Love it ! Would you recommend buying a 1000mh battery to extend battery life. You can get them. The standard is 800mh I think !

i have to say that i have noticed the battery does run out quite fast on this phone, and i am not a particularly heavy user. is there anything that i can turn off (apart from the phone-obviously) that might save the battery a bit?

Keypad Tone (menu 9-4-2) option in my phone is greyed out. Any idea why?

so is mine, but you can still turn the keypad tones off. just adjust the volume on the side of the phone when it is on the wallpaper screen.

To PAULINE; From options, select 'Attached items' and 'save' the picture. The pic will go to my files..images..downloaded images, thereafter you can send it. If you got it with an e-mail, just select the attachment and save.

                                Hi JAIME,
I can confidently recommend you a 1GB SANDISK card, but it is difficult to answer a 2GB enquiry, mainly because this phone has many versions. (For instance, type 'd900dxfj2' in the search box below to see an opinion.)Some users say that it won't take a 2GB, some say that it will. But they don't state the barand of card, so difficult to reach a conclusion. So better don't go for a 2GB unless you strongly need one. And if you go for it, get SANDISK only. And just after inserting the card, FORMAT IT using the format option in PHONE (not in pc, for better results.) Find the format option in myfiles..memory card..mem card settings

also when i put my memory card in it says memory card inserted but if you try to click on it in media gallery it says not allowed and it dosn't add any extra memory all it does is waste my battery realy quick!?!

G display on screen does not drain your battery. It only shows you have available GPRS network. In my country where network is not stable, i set my phone to display the G on "permanent" basis.(i.e. when network is available).
