I'm going to tell you the truth of this mobile. The best this about this phone is that it gives an amazing sound quality in headphone but not in speaker. The worst thing about this phone is that it's slide ribbon gets tattered within three or four months. For this reason, I always keep the slide open and I keep this phone only at my home and listen to music with headphone and browse internet. The browser is very basic. But this phone never hangs even if you browse internet all day long! Some big web pages doesn't open for lack of memory. But it's good for browsing mobile sites and downloading contents. This phone supports 3gp and mp4 up to 176x144 resolution. But the java really sucks. You can't download apps over 300kb and it only supports jad. Doesn't install jar. The camera is ok in outdoor. But not ok in dark places. The battery backup is bad. But you can increase backup by reducing brightness. It really works. The other features in this phone is ok.

One thing I forgot to mention, this stupid mobile does not install any jar application from the internet. I'm serious. It requires the jad file to install. But jad apps are very hard to find as most of the wap sites provides the jar file only. This problem is was so disturbing for me that I bought another phone for downloading java apps as this one could not. I hate this mobile.

I am using this phone for three years. Good things: This phone will never hang up, will never get slow like nokia phones, this phone never gets infected by virus, bluetooth is fast enough, typing is comfortable and fast, gives good sound quality with headphone. Bad thing: Battery backup is the worst, the data ribbon gets tattered every month, very low loudspeaker(while listing to music), bad java support. Application above 300kb won't support and I was unable to run many applications even the low sized application, max 2GB memory card support, mobile browser is very simple and no good features, supports medium quality 3gp and lowest quality of mp4, does not support high quality wallpapers, cannot install jar from phone memory or memory card, gets slow when you enter a folder having big sized videos or pictures. ..........Although I have mentioned some good sides, I would never suggest you to buy this phone. It is the worst mobile of samsung product.

Quick Tip:
If you are in the unlucky position to have a .jar file only for an Java application/game you can make you own .jad file easily. All you need is JADmaker(FREE)
Note: You will need both .jad and .jar files for the application (or game) for it to be installed on Samsung phones.

Review for E250i
What I liked:
Good number of features like Java support, FM with recording, sound recording and more. I can also use Opera Mini too! :)
What I didn't like:
For me the main problems were that the way Java was handled on my phone was a bit of a nuisance.
First you can only use Java 'apps' that are installed. Which means that certain java apps without the .jad file cannot be installed unless you make a .jad file for them.
Second installing 'apps' can only be done to you phones internal memory which in this instance is only 10Mb, the internal memory includes the pictures, sounds and video files, so there may be very little left for apps.
Third the apps cannot be moved up or down the application list. If you want a custom list you will have to delete all the apps and start again.
Another problem with my particular phone was that after a few months the data ribbon would tear or break which would require me to purchase and install one every few months due to the fact that this is a sliding phone.
Another problem was the phone not correctly displaying the correct battery power. After 2 days of charging the battery display would read only 1 bar but could last for days!
The context menus for some folders don't seem 'complete'
In summary this phone has got potential but its implementation can leave a user frustrated.

1. Remove Sim Card
2. Switch handset on without Sim, enter *2767*2878#
3. Handset will switch off automatically
4. Insert Sim card and turn handset on 5 min later, lock code will be reset to 00000000

I have this black Samsung E250 phone which seems to stay on. Even though you switch it off,it comes back on after just a few seconds....Please any remedies anyone????

Its best in 2g internet mode. i am using this from year 2007 without any bucks or failure. very robust build quality and performer bt samsung

This is one of the best phone l would advice somebody to buy. i have been using this phone for the last six year without any mechanical or software headache.the only limitation is 2g internet access which is generaly slow. juma

my advice is not to get this phone. It may seem nice when you first get it, but after some time, it starts developing a lot of problems. And it lacks a lot of reasonable features! Dont get it!
