i have had this phone 4 about 4 mnths n i fnk it is totally amazin. but evri1 is complaining bout it. i mean dz it mata if da pic on da front dnt stay on 4 long etc...!! its a gr8 fone but some people r neva happy r dey. evri fone has sumthing rong wiv it dnt it??? dnt mean 2 b rude btw. luv ya xxxxx

i read somebody elses opinion and it says that the wallpaper on the external lcd really wont stay on for long for batt saving purposes as told by samsung..
it is not a speakerphone..
you can download wallpaper, ringtones and games at samsung's website..
you can use the mp3 player while your fone is closed but not when you go out to use other features like when you have to text..the sound is great..
user friendly like nokia(once had a sonyerickson and nokia fone..samsung is like nokia..i find sonyerickson's menus difficult for a new user)..
a little bulky but is ok..looks great..
nice lcd colors..can't quite read the lcd under the sun though..
can send long messages..can send to many recipients or to a group..
can't use downloaded music for text alert..
the colors you see in pics is what you'll get..but i think some countries dont have certain unit colors available..
other symbols can be found by pressing # key long enough for the choices to appear,you chose by pressing the number that corresponds to it..no fancy fonts like those of nokia..big font size if your a former nokia user..
you can have the flash on only when taking a pic or have it on always even while just focusing or even not use it at all..can even zoom and adjust brightness of the pic beofre taking the shot..can take pics even when the unit is closed..can use external lcd for that matter..can't turn clicking pic off though but have options to chose from..
cant use vibrations and hear the tone at the same time..uuuuhhhh..very unlike nokia..
and it has no themes..only options for skins..cant download additional skins also..
have troubles using the bluetooth..worked for mp3s but unable to use it for images..
can make folders (like nokia 6600) to sort your messages out
still need to press options when entering numbers before sending a text..unlike nokia wherein you click and chose numbers..in samsung you go to options, click address book before chosing numbers..
i still need to spend time on this phone to know other pros and con..for now,quite content in using the phone for taking some pics when i dont have my cam at hand, for texting and calling..

my husband bought mine in singapore..quite disappointed for the so-called women's application are not pre-installed..do you know if i can ask samsung to install it??? and the wallpaper in the external lcd won't stay, do you know if it's possible to have it on??? can't transfer pics from phone to pc and vice versa..can someone help me out??? and is it possible to keep on using the mp3 player when i got out of the application??? HELP!

OK got my E530 today and have to say . . . . . . . love it love it love it!!!!! lol. It is so quick and easy to download mp3 files and allocate them as ringtones - it will save me a fortune!!!!

this is the cutest phone ever. but does anyone know how you can change the message tone to your downloaded music?? a i find its default tones to be too quiet. also to answer mel, you can switch the phone to silent by holding down the # key. then hold it down again to turn the silent feature off.

Well, I have had this beautiful phone for a couple of months now...and I absolutely adore her! There's only one problem I have, and if anyone could help me out with it I would really appreciate it - does anyone know how to turn off the tone which occurs when you sned a text message? Tried putting my phone on mute but it doesn't go away :(

After reading the specs and the reviews on here my mind is made up - definately getting this phone!!!! Until recently I had a Motorola V525 - lasted a good 18 months but when it died it died - problem with Motorola phones is you can't get into the internal board to get the information thats stored. Like the idea of being able to download your own mp3 files etc. Will be getting my E530 this weekend!!!!

The phone is a great phonee, i just have one problem which is i want to keep the analogue clock display on all the time. Is that possible?? if it is could someone please help mee thankssss

You can change the clock on the front go to settings ans display settings then it should have an external display, you can change it to whatever you want-your own pics even.

Im from Australia and my phone doesnt have the woman's functions either. I emailed Samsung and they said its because of the software you have which is also due to which country you are in. You can take your phone to your closest Samsung factory or shop and they can upgrade the software for you so that you will be able to have the woman's functions

I am looking for a phone and it has to have a camera colour screen and mp3 player and the samsung e760 is quite nice and i love the samsung e530 to you recomend the samsung e530

hey, this phone is really good, havent even got bored of it yet and ive had it for mnths now. just one thing that i can't figure out, how do you minimise the music player so that you cans end messages, etc while listening to music, ive done it twice but by accident and would love to finally be able to do it, thanks x

Although this is considered as a 'feminine' phone, it's got lots of great features. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera, plus an Mp3 player. I'm very, very happy with it - I recommend it to anyone who wants a stylish phone that still has great features!
