please help me to try to:
take picture with high resolution (save on int. memory), then transfer/copy to PC. then transfer the file from int. memory to ext.memory,
then transfer this file from ext. memory to pc.
please compare it both picture on PC. if you find no problem, it's mean i must contact samsung service center to repair my phone or to my memory card maker.

e590 has no problem with moving picture files form the phone memory to the memory card or a computer. If picture quality is judged by its size as measured in KB - that number remains the same. I checked.
What some users might find problematic is the fact that the phone has no regular socket to connect your headset other then the original or another "Samsung" made headset. Actually I think there is only one extra model that fits that socket - so called "in ear headset". So if somebody wants to choose from all the variety of headsets and then connect it to the e590, there will be some extra job to be done.
Another thing - I even don't know what is in the "PC studio" since I have an Apple computer and as far as I understand there is no way to land "the studio" on an Apple. Well, this is something unbelievably stupid. I expect that with SE phones there comes computer support for both - pc and macs.

E590 could viewing excel, word, powerpoint, and pdf file, k550 can't (as far as i know)even quality not same as PC and max file size is about 2.9MB.
'some' E590 user complaint about camera quality result, MANY k550 user complaint about it and say that this camera not proper with Cybershoot tittle.
k550 having better colour management, but e590 has better resolution.
it's not about battery problem on samsung, but it is the power management chip. sony has much better , but samsung also having improve their product. don't forget to turn off your phone and charge about 6-7 hour when first time you buy the phone (any model)to maximizing batt. performance.
k550 using conventional Sonyerricson design, but e590 has extremely different design than other samsung phone.
k550 having faster processor and WAP software than E590.
e590 didn't bundle the driver CD, so to open the phone memory you need to download samsung pc studio.(but this software include massage management that sonyerricson not have)
e590 is slim, so for gaming k550 is better (controller).
k550 has IR connecton, e590 no (for spect comparation just open the Official website)
on e590 no need to turn off phone when insert or release the external memory card.
e590 has quality problem when transfering picture from int.memory into ext. memory. k550 better.
e590 using micro SD, it's low prize than M-stick pro 2.
e590 has bean bag,
e590 using mp4 format for video, many free converter software for it. (i still not find free converter software for 3gp files).
both of these phone has plus value. choose it due to what you need (it's just my opinion).

E590 has an external speaker!
The phone's size is small and I consider it to be an advantage. If you want a modified "play station" then it would be just reasonable to choose different model with larger screen.

K550 still better than e590.cause:
- all samsung phone is low bat. life
- no multitasking in e590.
- no ext.speaker in e590.
- no flash lamp in e590.
- 220x220 screen res. Not easy to download games.(i means in this screen res. format).

Hi i can't decide weather to buy this lovely cell or the se550 wich i also like. Can anyone help me in terms of battery life, sound trough the headset, nav. key and video quality? is the e590 better

This is just a basic mobile, poor file manager, poor ring tone quality, also poor pictures taken by E590.... actually this can used as spare mobile only.

The screen is normal and keys function well. These are not the aspects in e590 one should complain about. I am also very fond of it minimalistic design which I think is cool.
But there are problems too. Mainly in the camera department. Though you can make beautiful black and white photos - sharp, great contrast, you can also play with it manually changing some settings, ISO number for instance.
But the quality of color pictures really disappoints - the phone camera can not register blue, but turns it into purple which is closer to red then blue. So whenever there is blue sky you camera gets it purple. But yellow-brown colors in pictures have very visible green. In both cases (with blue and yellow-brown) distortion is strong.
I am really disappointed about these shortages. Since Samsung is making also digital cameras I thought that in this area the results had to be better. Better then they are and better then with cell phone cameras of their competitors.
But I am glad about b&w pictures. Before I bought the camera I knew I will be making them a lot. What I did not know that I will be pushed to make them, since color pictures look really awful.

the display is torture to my eyes! it has very small viewing angle, unless u stare at the screen directly, u can't make out the picture..the 3mp is very disappointing, and even if it is good, u will, by no means, enjoy it on such a display..the keypad response is also slow, typing message sucks..and it is just too expensive, I don't care which gaywad designed it, its just not worth the bread..I returned it a day after I bought it..talk about impulse buying

May be you also have discovered how to make this cellphone to remember camera settings?
E.g., I want pictures to be saved directly after the shooting. It is possible if I make this preference before a session. But when I leave the camera mode and then come back again - these settings are gone.
What to do?

the format for movei is MP4,
i used V-gen 1Gb micro SD for my phone,
but when i save the Photo or move the photo from phone memory into this memory card, the picture resolution become smaller
(if check/ preview on PC, the result is very bad).
SO BECAREFULL, for video & music is no problem (yet).
You will need to download "samsung PC studio" to transfer file from the phone memory (phone USB setting as modem.

To turn shutter sound off- press the camera button to go into camera mode, then when the camera screen comes up, press the mode button on the side of the camera, and choose settings for the camera. you can turn all sounds off and on in there. took me ages to find it too!!!
if i buy a micro sd card for this phone- can i play movies on it??? what format will they need to be in???

when i buy this phone? i'm so happy with all aplication build in this phone but this phone have same minus?? 1.empty battery so fast. 2. and the camera is minialis? i mean is minimum light at same room letf camera will be striping... u just see that>>>>

does anyone know how to turn off the shutter sound on this phone ? a better screen would have been nice, still the design, size, camera and battery makes it a very lovable phone (even if i didn't manage to turn the shutter sound off :|)
