I owned that phone about a week ago. It looks good, mp3 player sound quality (with headphones) good, movies good (photo quality average). Phone really pretty, has much features, nice interface, but... The only thing that confuse is sound quality... When you call to someone, it looks like you moved few century's back - the sound quality is really bad. Im gonna take this phone to repair shop to fix or mod that speakers, cuz its really really confuse. Without this problem, the phone worth attention.

you do not get the data cable with the phone. you can play MP3 music both through the headphones and through load speakers.

Is the cable that connects the phone to the computer included in the package? Or do you have to buy it seperately? Can it play MP3 files out loud, like the E398? Or do you have to use the headphones?

i love this fone! its awesome, so many advantages and good factors compared to some other fones on the market today. but i've got 1 lil question. is it possible to put mp3s onto the fone with out actually connecting it to your computer?

Does anyone know how to set this phone up to check a hotmail account. I've tried to get it to work, but it still says that there's no account installed.

this phone looks so good. i have the nokia 3100 now and i think this phone looks great.cn u tell me if you can customize how long all the lights (eg; back light, external light)

Can somebody please tell me about the quality of the mp3s when set as a ringtone?
I have recently received the z500 and the ringtones are so quiet I can barely hear it!
I am thinking of sending it back and swapping it with this phone, any help is appreciated.

It's easy , i use a bluetooth dongle, just make sure the files you wish to send to your computer are SHARED, a.k.a click and go to Share for bluetooth.
Then just pair the phone and the computer, like you would with a normal phone . (by entering THE same code, when asked by each device)

I had a big problem with this phone. It always tried to find the network. I had until now 25 or maybe 30 phones (including nokia 9500, sony erricson P910, and many others) and I never have had such a big problem

I understand, it is the user's choice and it is thier preference.
So why nokia also did not put an option of vibrating first then ringing begins?
So much so, they are just phones and each has its own unique functions which user's has to choose to suit their preference.

On the contary, people want the phone to vibrate and ring at the same time is because not everyone works or are in quite places, and work do demand us to be at place which is not too noisy and also not quite... sort of in between and the phone just ringing (especially MP3) might be heard or it might not be heard. Thus the Vibration let us know it is ringing and awareness of the ear to pick up the specific ring tone to answer or let be.
And for us business people... missing calls is a no no. And answering wrong calls is also a no no. I'm sure you get what I am trying to tell you right?
At least Samsung could have let an option in the phone for the user to choose, like Nokia (which I have long migrated away from btw so as not to be labeled "fanboy")
And yes... I'm a Samsung user for a long time and still am a supporter.

I think its a great phone. i do agree that the sound on calls can be a bit dodgy on times but overall its not too bad. I only found out recently that you can have video clips as your main background, how many other phones offer that i wonder. the pictures are of a high quality also. the media player is cool but it can be a little quiet at times. the positive points far outweigh the negative though! x
