    To John:

If you can get BT to work with IrDa you should patent it :D
BT is wireless which works with a frequency, and IrDa works with infrared light.
So you should return your IrDa reciever and buy a BT stick/dongle.

I've just received my E720 from O2. I used to have the E700 and bought an IrDA to transfer files easily. The E720 has bluetooth and not an infrared port.
Does bluetooth work with an IrDA? and if so do i have to use Samsung's Easy Studio for the two to be compatible? Cheers

I have just ordered the E720, and I need some help on what Bluetooth headset to go for and also info on how to down load MP3 stuff from the internet as you don't get the USB cable. This is all new to me. I though the head set would come with it but have been told it doesnt so any advise would be appreciated.

Anyone that has ordered the phone off o2 online could you please let me know when your phone has actually arrived, because im getting sick of o2 giving me the same excuses, if it carries on im just going to cancel my contract, o2 online is the worst contract service i have ever been with.

              To dude:

There is no certain brand for the E720. Bluetooth (BT) is a wireless standard, means andy BT dongle SHOULD work with any BT device. I have good experience with the Sitecom USB BT stick/dongle.
Don't mind spending some extra on a more known brand, buying a no-name brand could mean bad driver support, etc.

My conclusion, go for the Sitecom. There are cheaper sticks/dongle's, but this brand has good support, like easy driver download and a forum on their website.

i got the e720 2 days ago on o2.....its fab, very pleased with it. 1 thing i am having a prob with is the texting...i dont use predictive text and changing it to abc mode is fine, but then when you turn the phone off, it resets itself back to predictive.not a major prob i know, but can be a little annoying! anybody know if you can change this? cheers!!

                                To ste:

I've read trough the entire manual (Enlish and Dutch) and I found nothing about build-in handsfree or speakerphone.
You can use the Sound-mate (an external speaker) though.
This is what the manuals say's about that:

                                Using an external speaker.

Use an optional external speaker to talk and listen with the phone a short distance away. First, you must plug a speaker into the phone.

Had the phone for a few weeks now. On O2 contract so the phone itself cost nothing. Was initially going to get D500 but then this came along and has pretty much the same spec but just looks better, plus i have had a sliding phone before and clams are better, u dont answer it by accident when taking it from ur pocket like u do with a sliding phone. Anyway about the features, it has bluetooth for a start which i have found very easy to use and had no trouble connecting with anything. The mp3 player is made easier by having controls on the front of the handset and sounds great with headpiece on. Very clear calls. Ringtones are loud. Easy to naviagte, id go as far as saying as easy as nokia, well done samsung. Pic quality is great, and video is the best i have seen from any mobile to date. The memory is also very good, dont think i will run out so the lack of expansion slot doesnt worry me.Another good thing is the auto turn on when u want to use the alarm function, this means u can still get woken up in the morning without having to leave ur phone on all night, i have found this most useful. Also have had no trouble with battery life it lasts fine. Over all this is a top quality phone with great features, its compact and lightweight, i say go for it.

                                      To dude:

MP3's can be send over BlueTooth if you got no USB cable. On pro to that is that you can use your BT stick/dongle for more devices than just the E720.

                                      To jojo:

There is a stereoheadset included in the packedge. Playing on the speaker can be done, but the quality is way better when you use the headset.

                                      To Dave:

You use the headset for that :)

hiya - to transfer music to your phone, purchase a bluetooth adapter (called a dongle) and then download the music to your pc thru one of the free mp3 download sites such as kazza. Then simply click the song you want and, having loaded the software that comes with the dongle, bluetooth it to your phone. You can also take photos off your phone the same way.
