Just to let anyone know if you have had the nokia 6230, you can forward your ringtones over to the e720 and they play exactly the same

Just received this phone a couple of days ago, found it to be very good. Previously had the E600 which was very good. Again with this the same problem your screen goes out after a couple of seconds, but it not a major issue it is only like the nokia 6230 and the 6610 which go out anyway. My only thing is I did not use the MP 3 on the 6230 (not sure what I was doing), but this time I want to download MP3 music from my computer. Please can someone help me on what I need to do to achieve this

I've had the samsung E720 for two days and noticed the sound is very poor when you set an mp3 to be your ringtone. it it is both dull and low in volume compared to my old nokia 6230 and E700 handsets. even when you play an mp3 through the loud speaker the quality is terrible and I have tried lots of different tracks and they are all the same. does any one else notice this or maybe the speaker on my samsung E720 is faulty.

Got this phone a couple of days ago, and everything seems to be okay, it took me ages to figure out how to get predictive text off, but it always goes back to it when i switch the phone on again, although doesn't bother me too much, as now use predictive text as i find this easier. I'm having trouble though with getting it on silent, i looked up the manual but it only ever mentions a quiet mode but doesn't tell me how to activate this, can anyone help? Was pleasantly surprised that the phone has zoom before you take the picture, so pictures can be taken closer up, unlike my old phone.

hi claire, i find that anonying too, you keep having to flip open the phone as it doesnt display a missed call icon, i have noticed the same if the phone is on silent with no vibrate. as for the texting, the only thing i can think of is not to turn the phone off at all, as it wont reset then. strange how yours is set to abc mode and mine predictive(and my boyfriends)? i will keep trying though!! x

To clare:
don't think you can change the seetings, but i found that if you hold down the volume button/fast forward/rewind button for about 3 secs, the screen come back on. And if you do this again after the first time, it turns on the flash

Everyone
Another small thing about this phone is that if someone calls me and I miss the call, the external display does not have a symbol to show that I have a missed call and it isn't until I open the phone that the main screen shows I have a missed call. It initially shows a missed call and then like the analogue clock, it disappears after 2 seconds. I find this very irritating in that if I do not open the phone for some hours, I do not know there is a missed call until that time which if it was important, I would not know about it until a much later date.
Is there a setting on the phone that can change this?

You say that the predicitive text is always on on your E720 and you want to change it permanently be on non predicitive. I have the opposite problem, I want predicitive text always ON but have the problem as you that it seems to reset itself when you turn the phone off. Can you help as to how it stays on predicitive or can anyone else help the both of us with the same query but for different settings

dont think there are any other colours, however the colour is slightly different to the e700. the silver part at the side seems more grey and the blue is lighter with more grey mixed in on this one.
