I love this phone...but does everyone elses screen turn itself off when you close it. My old d500 still showed the clock/missed calls/txts/etc even when the slide was shut!????

When you play music files stored from the memory card, it starts very slow and it is so lag when I skip one song to another.

camera quality isn't the best.
rates close to a 1.3 mega pixel .
seriously.
the screen though is magnificent.
very strikingly beautiful. no doubt.

fone freak: I don't know if you're still reading this, but I have the exact same problem with the top left soft key. I have to press harder only on this key. wonder if this is a problem with the E840 in general...

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and I love it. I have just been reading the reviews an opinions on here and was very interested to learn about the 'vivid text' function. I had seen it on the menu but ignored it as I didn't really know what it was for but OMG its ace. When you receive a text message pictures come up; e.g. a kiss x is a pair of lips, sleep is Zzzzz's and home is a pic of a house! Its 1st class. I am always impressed by little things like that though lol.
I would really love to be able to download a new theme for mine. I like the 'London' theme that it came with but I'm getting a bit bored of it now. If anyone knows anywhere you can download new themes that'd be great. I'd've though amsung Fun Club would have had them but they don't.

Just ordered this phone along with a clear plastic case for it. Will post to let you all know what I think soon. One thing I do like about this phone is it seems to use the same charger plugins as the Samsung SYNC (my previous phone, screen cracked) so I'm happy I'll be able to use my car charger still.

Yes they do ring even when they are off if you set them to do so.

How is everyone finding the touch sensitive keys?
I haven't got a problem with them except for the top left key which takes you to the menu. Sometimes I have to press harder than when touching the other 3 keys, those 3 are very sensitive and I only have to lightly touch them and they respond, but that top left key doesn't always respond and I find I have to press down rather than just lightly touch to make it work. Is it just mine? :(
I only bought it on Wednesday (from carphone warehouse in uk) and have already exchanged it once that same day as there was a scratch on it, don't fancy having to exchange it again!

Did buy it today in Malaysia.. Nice looking phone... to bad it havent a flash led., Haved the SE w810i before hope i dont be disepointed.
