Just got it here in Canada. Imported from France. So far working good, I tried every features. I noticed one problem: World Clock has software issue where it wouldn't work now. I am goign to try reset the phone and see if it works. I think it started after I setup alarm clock. I had it for 24 hours and I've mastered all featuers, I got used to the keypad, I accidently touch "cancel button" but u will get used to that too. Camera is great, my motorola sucked and camera was garbage. I'm going to buy extra battery and car charger when I go to Korea in a bit. USB cable comes with the phone and software is awesome. very easy to use and reliable, fast transfer speed. Not having 850 band hurts in underground but not a deal breaker.

Yeah but when an "older" samsung phone has better functions than a "newer" one - thats when you have to ask questions!

OK - I couldn't care less about the MP3 Player because nearly everyone in the world now owns at least an MP3 player or an iPod anyway so just use that instead..
and the vib + ring? who cares... it happens for about 2 secs before you answer, it's not going to ruin your life if it isn't included. If you can hear the ringtone then what else do u want.
I am considering buying this phone for £210 from Dial-a-phone and the only thing I will use it for is taking pictures, ringing people and texting.
If you want thousands of functions then go buy the SE W800i and stop complaining.
Thankyou

There is no option for Vibe and ring att hte same time - i asssume its the same with other handsets...
in a nutshell the only thing this phone can do that my E720 couldnt is Vivid text & play MP3 whilst sending text ect.

I must admit the E900 is quite a nice phone, got everything I need for daily use including a decent camera and mp3 player (ok, so sound quality ain't all that... but I have an iPod nano so why would i want to use my phone?)
Negative points:
- Battery life is poor if you use bluetooth all the time (which I do because it syncs with my car bluetooth kit).
I have to charge my phone every 2 days.... no better than my old v3 razr.
- The touch sensitive cancel button is annoying as if you are right handed because the base of your thumb will keep touching it when you use the directional pad.
- You can't have vibration at the same time as your ringtone
Apart from these 3 gripes, it's a pretty stylist phone!

WHAT? no vib and ring at same time?...is that a problem with just certain peoples phones or is it normaly like that? there is speaker phone option for this phone right? i dont see why they would...kinda downgrade their phone features they should have all that because even the older models do.

After owning a trusty Samsung E720 for a year - i decided i would like to carry on using a samsung when my phone needed upgrdading. I decided to go for the E780 (think Moto Rzr) and i was pretty impressed... Ring and vibrate at the same time - sleek looks and everything i needed. Unfortunatly the screen cracked and i had to claim via my insurance company - they said the closest thing they had was the E900... i thought yeah i'll give it a go.
This phone is being sent back - sure it looks the business - but it doesnt live up to its name... a lot of the software is exactly the same, if not worse than my E720.. its like an E720 but tarted up!!!! For example ring and vibrate cannot be used at the same time - also "skins" are only in black and white. I was expecting this phone to be a lot more than it was - i shall be getting o2 to send back my E780 and will be glad to see the back of this phone..
Great for a first time Samsung user - but dont expect to be thrilled if you already have one!!!

extra point to below, the speaker is so tinny and sharp, no sign of any bass and unable to customise sound that makes a difference. The sound literally sharpens your eardrum. Considering exchanging the handset.

Good Points: Nice design, features exactly same as d500/d600 (ONLY HAD IT A DAY AND IM TOTALLY FAMILIAR WITH IT) Nice touch sensitive buttons, good camera, very lightweight.
Bad Points: Appalling speaker, Unable to customise message alert, awful tones, cant customise caller video if bluetoothed from d600 handset. Dirty grey background on main menu and only able to display 75% of downloaded photos set as wallpaper. All in all the d600 was the best phone ive ever had and although the e900 looks better, in my opinion this is not as good.

the speaker is pretty good, its loud. the battery life is not so great. if your one of hte people who can't live without talking on the phone all day long, then i would advice you to take the batter charger with you. overall its a great and reliable phone.

Just upgraded today to a Samsung E900. Great phone but camera v unreliable. Purple/green interference/distortion lines across the whole of the screen 50% of the time when in picture/mode. Anyone else experienced the same problem?

Thanks.
