i have had the lg chocolate for a week it is a fantastic looking phone and well built the touch sensitive keys are easy to use and the menu system easy to get around. a memory card slot would be good but it holds around 55 mp3 full songs. i am now looking to buy the e900 for my partner as she prefers samsung so i will see what thats like when it arrive.... if it is better than my lg im sure i could persuade her to swap hahaha. my advice to anyone who cant decide between the e900 and the lg choco is to go into a shop and try them both out its really about personal preference and how much music you want to hold in the phone x

hi ppl.. this is for u lot who are hain trubl saving T9 as default. i had this problem 2. but just solved it. if you start a txt msg as normal, then click on options in the bottom left hand cornerscroll all the way down to number 12 (IMPUT METHOD) and click on that and chose from the list. T9 ABC abc ect....i think the samsung e900 is a very good phone. yes it lacks the option of mp3 message tones but it makes up 4 it in the 2mp camera. i also think ppl dont have the phone long enough to give it a fair chance. e.g 1 DAY. i have explored my samsug e900 and every time i do so i find new things out, new setting, folders ect.
i recomend if u have got a little time sit down n explore your phone it will help u. It helped me.
HOPE THIS HELPFULL AND PLZ CUD U LET ME NO IF THE T9 OPTION WORKS
thanx elizabeth

I ordered this phone instead of the LG Chocolate because I heard the keypad on the LG doesn't light up making it useless when texting in the dark. After some haggling I got the phone for £39.99 plus the online 100 tarif for £15 per month. The handset is yet to arriove so I'm still waiting to see if I got a good deal or not.

Hi
I had an LG chocolate KG800 for 1 week and the earphone went faulty! Swapped it for the samsung yesterday and i must say, although there isnt a massive difference, i prefer the samsung. Features such as 2 megapixel camera and expandable memory give it the technical edge and i prefer the "real" navigation key compared to the touch one on the LG. Sure the LG looks better but thats as far as it goes.

What do you mean no Mem card slot????
This phone has a Micro SD card slot. (It's on the underneath of the phone) as for BAT well your talking out of your AR*E this is the best samsung yet for bat life. Mine lasts for about 4 to 5 days with moderate use.

Got this phone a few days ago and love it! Not at all hard to get used to the touch sensitive buttons. If anyone is after some clear protection, i've just ordered a custom skin from bestskinsever.com which I will cut to fit the front and back of my e900. I had this for my iPod Video and it was great.

ummm this phone is very nice looking, I have been using this phone for approx. 3 weeks. It has it's good points and bad points.....
Good - very stylish, good slide action, good size, good weight, very light
Bad - light sensitive buttons!!! I keep closing my text messages whilst in the middle of typing them as the delete button is the same one, I keep closing my menus down as my finger keeps going over the cancel button when using the navigation key and so again goes back to the start..I will never buy a light sensitive phone again...bring back the buttons, however it wouldn't look as stylish with buttons...!
I can not make the predicter text option as default. Really naff ringtones for messages, I can not use any MP3 files.
Otherwise not bad, but will go back to buttons next time, better control...also will go back to Nokia as well.......
