Is there not an option where I can turn off the light while it's charging? My friend has the D600 and he has that option under light settings and this e900 doesn't even have that. The battery life on this phone is wack and it's even more whack if you can't turn off the light while charging cuz isn't that like using battery while charging? I dont know. Someone tell me how to turn it off please.

someone wrote below about t9 not being default etc & it makes me wonder on all the forums on gsm arena that wen folks complain about somthing & others dont that some handsets do have bugs & some dont!!!I have written about genuine faults only to be told others dont have that problem & vice versa that they had a bug but i never experianced it,,,,So you could heve a valid point there

i agree with Robin's post below. I sent mine back after 24hrs. Drove me mad that you cannot set it to T9 as defult, however a friend has one and is stays on T9 !!! Maybe its a bug on some handsets. STupid ringtones and sensative cancel button were all too much too.
Yet to find a phone thats as good for me as Nokia 6230i, best phone I've ever had but looks are bit dated.
Trying SE K610 next.........

I'm considering this phone as well as the K800i K610i and W810i. I like the idea of the Sony phones as I have one already but I've never used a Samsung, so a couple of questions:
-Can you really not set a custom text tone?
-Can you can set T9 as the default text message input
-Does it include a USB data cable?

I will not buy another Samsung phone until YOU CAN USE MP3's AS MESSAGE TONES!
Surley this cannot be difficult to do.
Sort it out Samsung!

to homeboy:
i don't think nokia 8800 and this e900 are in the same comparable level.
for features sure e900 is the winner. nokia 8800's features are average, it's the phone's material and build quality that stands out in 8800.
