This is for all of you hesitant people. I also struggled with making the choice between the E900 and D900, but I opted for the E900. First off, the D900 is not out yet and probably won't be until the end of the year, if that. Unless you absolutely require quad-band and a higher than 2 MP camera, I would go with the E900. I like the flat slide form factor of the E900 better than the L-slide form factor of the D900; I don't like the little ledge on the bottom (that's why I returned the similar form factor T809/D820.

i dont understand why people are having problems with messaging staying on predictive text. mine automatically remembers EVERYTHING that i do. it stays on predictive text all the time for me. maybe its a firmware thing?

I decided against the Samsung Z400 in favour of the E900, which looked stylish and more feminine. However, I find to my disappointment that predictive text (T9) cannot be set as a default so what is the point in having 250 texts in my monthly contract when I'm spending half my time setting and re-setting T9 every time I send a text and getting more frustrated when I'm part-way through writing a message only to realise that I forgot to set it to T9 AGAIN?! Samsung have failed miserably on this point. Because of this, the phone is going back!

hi, had the e900 a couple of days and already i have issues with it.
when recieving images via bluetooth, i find that if they are more than about 400kb you cannot view them, i had the w800 before this and didnt have this problem, it is that phone i am recieving the pictures from, the file format is the same it just seems the file size is the problem, if anyone else has the same problem or if anyone knows how to combat this please advise.

I got this phone as a free upgrade from vodafone in UK. Had it for 2 days and couldn't stand it anymore so took it back.
My main beef was the fact that it's so difficult to navigate round the menus using your right thumb - you just keep accidentily, very lightly, touching the cancel button and you're straight back to the wallpaper again. Secondly I thought the call quality wasn't up to scratch.. was a bit 'tinny' and reception in my house was v. bad.
Other smaller annoying things like not being able to save T9 as default text input, stupid sounding ring tones and text msg tones, not saving sent messages as default, and a blurry/slow camera (press capture button and it saves a pic a split second after) put the nails in the coffin for this phone for me.
Real shame as it has a very nice screen and sleeky looks.

On the heat sensitive buttons yes you sometimes hit them but not during a call as you have hit the middle button to unlock then the cancel button (or just close the slider) so where it matters its not a problem.

Hi, I have a concern about the heat-sensitive buttons:
Why is that it is easy to make a mistake? Does the buttons become visible when...there is an incoming call? when the slider is open? when mp3 mode is on?
With much thanks.

to ash. tnx.
that was the final info i needed to decide to buy this phone. i was worriying about not beeing able to record in mp4 and in this high rez format( like they mess up e730 and only 176x144 rez) but i am glad they didnt do that with e900!!
now, to those who consider buying lg choco; STOP!! just comapare them!
sam is superior in every way (and the funny thing is it is even cheaper than lg in my country!!)
perhaps lg looks just a bit cooler( thanks to that red lights on it and cool glass-like material it is made of) but in every other aspect it is inferior to e900 and not worth buying!

Oh yes and it is in mp4 for the top resolution. You also have digital zoom but not much (this works in steps rather than smoothly) Me is liking this phone. However i noticed it takes quite a while when accessing the photo menu which leads me to believe its busy processing the pic images.
