d900 does not have the touch sensitive buttons (good!!), is thinner (the thinnest slide phone in the world apparantly) and has a better camera (3.3 megapixels!!!!)

couple of weeks into ownership and this is what i think;-
Great looking phone, great screen (big and very clear), loads of features (I previously had a d500 and this has way more features), cool games (although as far as i can see they are only demos). The vivid messages are a cool idea (it types the message out when you are reading it and replaces certain words like home and love with animations). Very thin and light so barely notice it in your pocket. Camera at 2 megapixels is good.
BUT
scratches easy
not very good build quality (screen wobbles already)
touch sensitive buttons can be a pain (when
writing messages and always redialing)
vibration weak
no sound AND vibration
a bit slow
MIGHT BE BETTER THAN SOME PHONES BUT IN MY OPINION NOT UP TO SAMSUNG STANDARDS. SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH THE D500 FOR NOW AND WAITED FOR THE D900

This phone seems pretty -good although iv only had it a day, its really nice to hold and is very functional... and personally i think it looks as good as the chocolate if not better! (btw i did press clear alot by accident-i imagine ill get used to it.)
HOWEVER i cant get it to stay on T9 predictive text,it always reverts to ABC....
Is this normal?
How can i change it?

Hi I was wondering whether to ge the N80 or E900 a guy in a O2 store was stating that E900 would be better as the N80 has got loads of faults and keeps being delayed due tp these faults. I must admit I need a realiable phone, as my w800i kept dropping calls (even after 3 replacements). In the end I decided to go back to my Nokia 6230 as this phone for me has very rarely dropped a call.

For the person who said When the phone is closed, the touch sensitive keypad won't work
You can. Press and hold the MP3 button on the Right hand side of the phone. This will unlock the front touch sensetive keys. I think a breaf press of the power button on the same side works too.

It works like this:
When the phone is closed, the touch sensitive keypad won't work. U need to open the slider to enable it to be activated. Instead of pressing the buttons, u touch it. Similar to the chocolate.

E900 looks so cool with slim design - would go for e900 rather than d600 and d600 is too common now.

go for the e900 rather than the d600 it has the same specs less battery life put in a lot less space. Also if you have to swap do it for this phone but if its not vital then wait for the 3mp samsung d900 to come out....then the fun will start
