I got the phone and have 2 questions! which may be helpful to others.

          1) Can i have it automatically save sent messages?...on my e720 Send and Save was option 1....which meant it was straight forward...they have switched it to option 2 on this phone.

          and
          2) Does anyone think the camera would be better by allowing all of the screen as visability...the preview is different from the actual photo taken...this would be fixed if we took the photo sideways using it as a widescreen photo ratio.

              ref video
press the left soft key and go to video settings
you need to change it to normal (i think its called) rather than "limit for multimedia message"
on the limit setting you can use your video as wallpaper though or send via mms

I can only appear to record individual video clips lasting around 11 seconds. Is this correct or is there a way whereby I can record video clips of greater individual length. I have 512 memory card installed. Can someone please advise.

Just got this phone as a free upgrade from O2 to use as a social phone. I use a Palm Treo 650 for work and everyday life. The samsung phone is alright. Great screen, camera and sound plus intuitive menus, sexy, great call quality, responsive software, loads of memory. Basically a typical Samsung phone However some major dissapointments.

1.The phone does not have Vibracall (Vibrate & Ring at the same time)
2.The phone's display for some weird reason stays on and stares at me while charging
3.The touch buttons are extremely sensitive and i find myself terminating calls before even making them or going back to home screen while doing something in the menu screen
4.Phone is extremely glossy and will attract fingerprints and scratches if you so much as breathe on it.
5.Takes forever to charge...my treo charges in 2 Hrs Max and has a 4-5 day stand by battery life and up to 2 days of talk time. Samsung has almost 1 day at most.

Overall i have mixed feelings. I might keep it solely as an accessory phone. This is not a phone i can use for everyday life. I might either return it to O2 or sell it and make some money. I'm still undecided.

Overall a good phone with some quirks.....then again aren't all phones or technology at large like that?

I think after reading all these comments I am going to send it back when it arrives and get a SE W810i instead.

I had a look in the O2 shop yesterday and it feels much more resilient for everyday use compared to the E900.

Plus the lack of simultaneous Vibe + Ring has played a big part in my decision!

Does anyone know how to change the sms storage to the phone memory rather than sim card?

The Answer (I think) is below

Select your message and then go to the move to option. If I am right you should see your card. (Which u brought). It should then tell u whether u want to move everyone or u can select. quick question what newtork are u on?

Disappointing considering its such a good looking phone.

Just got the E900 today and I have to say it's a great phone, I keep pressing the redial button. The touch sensitive buttons are rubbish. Plus the fingerprints look really bad it's impossible to keep it clean! Looks like it will scratch easily too! Quality is nothing near D500.
Other than that, the camera is really good and sound quality is good too.
Battary life is like 6-8hours if you play with it.
Bluetooth must be version 1 because pairing it with my cars factory hands free BT dosen't allow much as my 6230i did.

Just got the E900 today and I have to say it's a great phone, but as someone said before, I keep pressing the redial button coz of the bleedin touch sensitive buttons! Plus the fingerprints look really bad! I hate a dirty screen and it's so hard to keep it clean! Looks like it will scratch easily too!
I'm a girly girl and my previous phone was the E530. Little things bug me about this phone, like you can't change the colour of the skin to pink (i know it's a lame thing to say but I liked it on my other phone!)
Other than that, the camera is really good and sound quality is good too.

                                      One more con to add

No vibrating and sound when the phone rings. Also i find the vibration is not very strong. I miss most of my calls when i have it only on vibrate and it is in my pocket.

Ill try be as quick as possible:
Very nice looking but screen looks like it can scratch easily. After a week i have already got some light scratches and i have been looking after it. Another thing is that it looks really dirty in the sun with all the finger prints....but i guess that is the price of beauty. Apart from that it is easy to use and has loads and loads of really good new features. Way more than my previous phone the D500. Plus it is very thin and light. The camera at 2 megapixels is very good quality and the sound quality is great.

                                        BUT
I am afraid there are a few cons
1)The phone is a bit slow. especially when trying to open photos and so on
2)Those damn touch sensitive buttons!!! Either i am too clumsy and still have to get used to them or i dont know. They keep redialling and going from over sensitive to hard. Plus i like the reassurance of a click when i press a button for when i am trying to send a message or make a phonecall without looking at the phone.
3)Not convinced about the build. After a week my slider is already wobbly. I just picked up my old battered d500 and it is much sturdier and easier to use.

Shame!! I may take mine back to see if they can fix the wobbly screen as this may be part of the reason why the sensitive buttons are acting weird
