I bought this phone last year and I hate it. The touchscreen drives me crazy!!! Whenever you try to do something if you accidently touch the screen you delete all your text are start calling people! You cannot change your alarm tone and the one it has is probably the most annoying sound in the world.

I love the samsung e900. i have the red/pink one and i love the resolution on this phone. the only thing i would be disappointed about is how sensitive the touch screen can get. i often accidently end whatever i'm doing because my finger slips near the end button of the phone. but other than that, i think it a unique phone!!

Also, can someone tell me how to set a password on my PRIVACY section to my messages and pictures, etc? everytime i go to settings to set a password, it tells me to enter my current password (which i do not have one. i never even made a password)... Apparently i need this password to also make a PIN lock on my phone. everytime i attempt to set one, it always asks for a current password.

If anyone has any idea of how to help me on this.. please email me at tammy-phan@hotmail.com and let me know!! THANK YOU SO MUCH =)

The Samsung E900, introduced in 2006, is a high-end mobile phone and is derived from Samsung's D500-D600-D800 series of slide phones. It is of a slide-up design and has heat-sensitive keys, similar to the LG VX8500.

The Samsung E900 contains many technologies that make it one of the most feature-rich phones available in mid-2006.

                      2 Megapixel Camera (1600x1200)
                      Video Recording & Messaging (MPEG4 / H.263)
                      Music Player (MP3, ACC/ACC+, e-AAC+, WMA formats)
                      Bluetooth (with A2DP)/ USB
Document Viewer for DOC XML and PPT files / TV-output
Java games - 6 included on the phone
                      Text/Photo/Video Caller ID/EMS
                      Personal organiser functions
                      Talktime: 3.5 hours
                      Battery standby: 220 hours
                      80Mb built in memory
                      Touch pad (capacitive touch sensitive)
This phone was the first phone released by Samsung with the new Black UI. This user interface was created to be more convenient and quickly learnable.

Wonderful color i dreamt of having a phone with such color from sony ericsson long time ago .. BUT i can buy it if only it has some enhanced features like : it must have outside screen to show the caller identity + also it should have outside botton to keep the ringing to scilent or answer the call if i want to without having to open the phone to know who is calling and then decide to answer or to keep the rining to scilent .. If only it has these 2 features i would be crazy about bying it
this phone is so beaut...i hope i can get it!

This is a very good phone. I just bought one and except for the battery life wich is short there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I don't mind recharging the phone every two days, so that's not a problem for me. The WLAN is great, thou the signal strenght must be stronger then let's say a laptop, but it's a phone remember; the display is brilliant, great colors, great resolution, the sound quality of the stereo headset is great, plus the phone has a good sound equalizer; I don't have any problems with the slider, I try to work very smooth with it...bottom line: a good and complete phone for what I need..
very nice phone exlent model very super...

This is the coolest phone.. and very unique... center of attraction... all of the ohone that made this is the most stylish among them... this phone make girls attract... this e900 phone is capable in cool guy...

There are pros and cons with regards to this phone. First of all, this phone, physicall is really great. It captures so much attention because its sleek and sophisticated. Its features are cool too. The document viewer is really helpful. I just have one itsy bitsy tiny problem with this phone... since its touch sensitive (navigation buttons) a hard pressured "click" can make the phone go to different menu categories or so. But if I'll rate it 1-10, 10 being the highest I'll give it a 9.5

a great phone with great features ; i have just replaced my SE w810 with this lovlely handset and i'm pleased as its unique design and feel makes it really acceptable . i agree with those SE fans ( as i am one of them :-) ) that nothing can overcome the sound quality of SE W series nor picture quality of their 2 MP cameras , but turn your head into world of design and inovation then you see samsung on TOP , sliding phones and now with a great touch sensitive navigation panel shows thier keen minds :-) i have manuplated all the item in this phone by now even installing Java applications so you can email me about your possible questions ; at last : go ahead with samsung
