quality fone, hard to use a first but got the hang of the touch screen after a while.

Does this phone automatically save your sent messages? or do you have to, like on the D900- have to select the save and send option each time?

Hi, bought this phone from Abu Dhabi yesterday for $295 and I think it's amazing. The Mp3 player is good, built in 80mb is good too. Screen quality is as expected from Samsung as they are one of the best in screens. Problem finding out how or why I can't seem to find my messages in the outbox. Camera quality is super for 2mp camera with or without flash. However if you are expecting professional shots, get a Nikon D200. Overall phone size is perfect, only 95grams in weight. Fantastic sound recorder and menu is so easy to navigate. The touch pad can be a curse to get used to but then again, being a nokia user, I have to get used to a lot of things. Yes, the phone does lockup when you close the slider so no buttons can be pressed. You can pre-assign the slider functions. The battery life is super. Better than any Nokia I have used. If I were to buy another phone, which I did, I would recommend the Samsung D900 as well. Fancy and powerful. I checked the specs of D900 vs sony ericsson W850i, they are both the same price, but power wise, the D900 is the most in features and power overall. They are both $438. if u slide up to get to the keypad the phone unlock by itself and hide keypad the buttons are lock...i just bought it for my girlfriend yesterday and she likes it nuthin is wrong w it just people make it complicated. they need to learn how to use the phone first and get use to it...

Im not sure bout the touvh pad though with lg choc when licghts go off touch pad doesnt work so you just press a key (e.g.5)

Really disappointed about the "touch" screen. It turns out that the keys are in fact heat-sensitive. This means that you can accidentally hang up because the area of the "cancel" key is heated up by your ear while you're talking!!! Technology that does NOT work. Apart from that, Samsung menus are still great and the feel is really intuitive.
A great miss.

Once you slide the phone closed it automatically locks the touch screen buttons (which can be unlocked by a button on the side)
I have had this phone for a while now and I keep it in my trouser pocket - I have never had a problem with the touch screen

LoL, this phone just roox... here are some informations about it:
- mp3 player almost perfect (everything roox), jst for the lack of 3,5 jack , but in all other ways its REALLY great, loud enouth
- desing and touch keys /and menu interface are even greater , jst acedentally pushed "end call" a single time ( 3 months usage)... and desing / size / weight are THE BEST IN MARKET (maybe chocolate)...
- the camera is fine too , u can take fine pictures and store tham on ur computer with a HI-quality 4 mobile phones, just lacks the night-mode ... but in the overall is superb ... and very user friendly ...
- - so this is one of the best phones on market and it costs no so much , VERY cheap compared to what he gives u ... i really recomend it ... in that same price its unique

me nd my mum are debating whether or not i should get this fone for xmas. it looks really cool , but im worried about wat people hav sed bout the touch screen. Is it a big prob or can u lock it so u cant accidentally press the buttons.
