the ram on epic is true 512MB. maybe do you mean a internal memory ?? yes a internal memory (rom) on epic just 512MB . too small for this phone i think . but didn't you got a 16GB external memory ??

I 've had this phone for a couple of weeks and cant stop from loving it. But one problem I have... I thought this phone had 512MB of RAM! But since I bought it the phone settings show a measly 325MB of RAM. So what gives here? Was I sold an EPIC with the wrong amount of RAM? (Cheezi1 lives in southern California)

first NO you cant use this in our poor country cuz it does not have sim card slot.
second its called 4G cuz the internet connection in this fone is really quick.[10x faster than 3G (6-10MBPS)]
if you really like this fone, in febrauary, htc will release htc desire hd in our country, that is an htc evo-like fone. (but thet is not 4G)

Judging by the myriad of models only for the US market, looks like Samsung is sucking up to the US market and forgetting the loyal Asian market.
