Hey vin,
please get your facts right. you do not text using the 'sensitive' sweeping key to text. The F300 does not have much personalization but comparing it to a similar phone such as the W880i, it has better sound quality and originality. This phone is about design and simplicity. Also, on the small-screen side, the keys are so much easier to type with as compared to the W880i.
You can use the earphone while using the pouch, you just need to adjust the cover for the earphone a bit. Anyway, about the sensitivity, the later firmware version of the phone doesn't make it so sensitive.
And yes, you can put a sim card on it.

dont waste ur money on this phone. Just imagine small screen for texting a sensitive sweeping key... Whew!!! Ipod keys are way better!!! You cannot personalize the phone... u cant use the leather case when ur using the earphone since the cover for the earphone and charger is hanging. Whew! what a waste of money! I just got it for a week and nahhh!!! I sell it out!!! Loser phone!!! I'd still prefer SE and Nokia. It lacks features for personalization... Yah i know its slim!!! But... dont waste ur money on this phone...

The music on the memory card has to be placed in a folder named "Music". The phone only recognizes this folder as the music folder on the memory card. After doing so, just go to your player and it will update the playlist automatically.
Also, i know that there is a speaker phone. However, it only works with the mp3 and the FM radio. What i meant about the phone not having a speaker phone is that when a call comes in, there isn't a speaker function to enable you to talk unlike other phones such as Nokia etc.

People people... Please do not get confused with the F300, F500 and the F510. The upstage a.k.a. F500 or later is a video phone and not a mp3 phone.
F300 - MP3 phone
F500 - Video phone
F510 - TV phone
I have thoroughly checked out all of the functions of the phone am definite that my comments are of quality.
Please do not get yourselves confused with the later models of the F series.

Also, the Upstage DOES have speakerphone, Mitchell... When you're in a call, hit Options->Turn Speaker On... It's a decent volume speakerphone while not the loudest.

The Upstage is simply amazing. 9.5/10. Samsung really outdid themselves. And I saw someone say they were having troubles (not sure how old the comment is) with putting an image as a screensaver. If it was taken with your camera, after it was captured, go to Options->Assign and you can figure it out from there. :]

Hey...
If you think that the small screen is a hassle, you should think again. Imagine if the phone had large screens on both sides. What would be the purpose of 2 sides then? There wouldn't be a difference. Might as well have one side only right?
The F300 does not have a speakerphone. You need to buy a separate bluetooth headset or use the wired-hansfree that comes with the phone.
Mp3 tones cannot be used as message tones. If you need to know more about the phone space, read the specifications.
For those who feel that the phone life isn't long enough, you need to charge the battery properly when you get it. You have to fully use the phone till it dies out and charge it for eight hours after that. Do this at least 3 times for a longer battery life.
As compared to other phones, i feel that this samsung model is better in a sense that there is the extra battery pack which can last for another 2 days with normal phone usage. I have an F300 and a W880i. Both of them can last about 2 days with normal phone usage without the mp3 playing much. But the difference is the extra battery pack that samsung has.

siju-
This phone really is a bit of a love it or hate it handset. The calling and texting is fine, but if that's all you're after then I wouldn't recommend this phone. This phone is designed as being more of a gadget with the mp3 player side of the phone, so unless you're going to actually use that then there are many other handsets on the market that are more appropriate to your needs.
Personally, I'm undecided. The swap over onto the touch control mp3 player side can be sluggish, the phone side screen is small and annoying. It's not a bad phone, and I like the ambition behind the design, but I'm still not sure if it's really worth it. I guess I should look on the positive side - at least it isn't another boring silver slider!
