Hi Had the phone since friday.
I am very happy with it..
One question, those who have purchased from tmobile - how u finding ur 3g network? Mine is rubbish in houses ok outside??
So i was told by tmobile to gon into settings and change to gps? or something ! I dunno if its made a difference??
ne one who can help - let me know!

ash, 02 Jun 2008yes you can change it in the settings, in themes and touchp... moreplease can u explain to me step by step cz i cant see an option to change it to any colour it onli allows black or white for da menu :( x

Just ordered this today from t-mobile and its arriving tomorrow i'm jumping ship from vodafone to T-mobile as they dont have it released till July, and my contract is now up. Went into the t-mobile shop to have a play with it and i was very impressed the guy said he could do the phone for £49.99 on flext 30 (which is £25 mth) which gives me a £90 monthly allowance for mins and texts pics etc. I told him i would think about it and left I then proceeded to phone t-mob direct and spoke to some one in customer sales direct. Low and behold after some haggling got the phone FREE on the flext 30 tariff (for £25 mth)and this has recently changed from the 1 June to give you a £140 monthly allowance. So more than happy with the phone and the tariff and cant wait on it arriving tomorrow.

more news: f488e has a stylus/slot. NO 3G JUST GSM. hold button is on the side, not top. NO front video call camera. same 5 mp camera on back.

Got it from tmobile this morning, on 12month flext 35 for £30 month had to pay £30 for it but took out insurance for them to give me phone with £70 off! (Can cancel the insurance n e time i want, not tied into it).
anyway, the phone is great, all standard samsung menus that im used too. Camera is ok, better than my D900 so im happy with it, havent out on PC yet though. Has bluetooth, dont know whether u can voice automate it though as it doesnt come with a hands free device ( i have one from old samsung i can use). the Scrolling on the phone is easy to use just drag ur finger down to go down the list. The widgets are good fun but just a novelty factor, not that overly impressed by them! Looks very nice and the touch screen is very responsive, Texting is easy with two thumbs or holding it using one hand is just as quick! Basically i love this phone!
Down side is rubbish ringtones, so will be downloading some new ones from PC shortly!

omg I so want this phone although dont think it will be available inn pakistan any time soon at an O K price that is. Hehe so I will be in uk this July does any one know how much an unlocked one costs there and am looking for a bargain people got the n93i last year and broke the outer display a few months back in a silly accident and my dad was furious coz it cost me like £300 and now am on to using my v3i (the d&g one) LOL so I was considering the samsung Armani which din get good reviews :s
and now I am totally want this phone! Oh and one more question I saw a video on youtube and well the menu had a black background is that really possible? Cause the white one is a lil I donno dull?!?!?!?

Hi i have just got my new F480 its seems to be realy good, although will take me a little time to get used to the touch screen never had 1 before, and your supposed to leave on charge for 14 hours for 1st charge, the only problem i am having is that i cant get the songs in my music to be my ringtone any ideas????? thanx justin

f488e. it seems the button layout is different. power outlet is attached on the left side, no video call camera..(which i really dont care for), but the resolution is definitely different. compare the flower on the picture and the f480 from youtube: (2:00)

Right, just went out to car phone warehouse and had a play around with the phone. I have seen from some of the demo vids on the web and i didnt think it was responsive at all. But in actual fact, I am very impress with the responsiveness of the phone. The interface itself it easy to use. Dialling and txting was pretty easy, keypad was responsive, can text pretty fast. Love the widgets, again, really quick and responsive. Tested the camera in the shop, I wasn't that impress with it. The images are not as clear as I hoped it will be(but probably be better when transfer to PC). The speaker on the phone was fairly good, pretty loud as well. One thing I found really wired is the scrolling. I have to drag my finger down to scroll down instead up. The guy told me that you can put up to 8GB of extra memory on, which is pretty standard. The build quality was pretty good I think. Unfortunately, I couldn't test the internet function on it.
To sum up, the interface was excellent. In terms of responsiveness, it is great. I think it is a lot better than the F490 which i thought was really slow. Menus are well layout and functions are easy to get to. Camera is pretty standard, not the best quality around. Music player is pretty standard as well. Overall, 8 out of 10. Just beware I have only played around with it for 10~15 mins, so this is only my first impression.

Just got the phone today. Great size and slick looking!
Great disappointment in the camera. Hope the pics look better when put on pc.
Another boo thing is that you can customize apps to become widgets, they fixed.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone would like to answer this question. Can the phone be used for hands free calling via bluetooth, ie, say a name into the bluetooth device and the phone will dial it, as here in the UK you can only use a phone "hands free" whilst driving.
